Semenyo just signed a new deal and Bournemouth are up £100m on Kerkez and Huijsen, no chance they sell IMO. I think Leao has a higher ceiling than Semenyo as well tbh, he is 26 so next few years likely to be his best, and he's been pretty fucking good already so far.
Don't we want strength in depth or just play Sarr for sixty odd games?
Frank needs to build a squad not just a dozen odd players who do it "just as well".
You can add half a dozen players to that.

One thing about Sarr is that he is not a leader. He seems to be improving under Frank.
Hard player to pin down, has all the tools to be a real handful of a box-to-box midfielder but unsure that's what we need right now in the team. Definitely worth keeping as a squad player and moving Bentancur on in his stead if we are to make room for a new 8 IMO, though think Bergvall will eventually end up as our starting 8 with Sarr being more of a squad player. Bergvall is a lot more assured on the ball and I think can be a hugely productive CM for us as well as being big and sturdy enough to put himself about in the press. Might be ready now based off his showing last season, think we will have to hope so as looking increasingly unlikely we will sign a satisfactory alternative to MGW.
Wouldn’t say he screwed the club over: he had a release clause which Bayern triggered in his contract and so left.
Once a release clause has been triggered all parties are powerless and it all just happens…..

I wouldn't write off the Milot deal just yet. As we all know, transfers have a habit of changing at the last minute. With Kulu and Madisson both out, I am sure the club will be shifting all focus to a creative mid.
With Son leaving, and the MGW money still available; there should be a significant amount of money to spend.

They have an incredible amount of money compared to ENIC. As I've pointed out before - compared to the other Big 6, plus Newcastle, Villa, Fulham and now Everton, we have the least capitalized ownership group.
There's different levels to rich, and in terms of PL owners, we're 3rd tier. Better off than the Dildo Bros. (just), but barely clinging on to 10th in the league. We'll be bottom half after the next big sale goes through.

The reality is, that he is 18 and has only played 1 season of football in Belgium. Logic says keep him for the domestic cup games - but also there will be an expectation to win these cups, rather than use them to bed in young players.
With Romero, VDV, Davies all injury prone and Dragusin already injured till later this year; I do wonder if we have an experienced CB on loan lined up. With no links to any left backs, it seems VDV/Davies will also be expected as cover there.
It wouldn't surprise me to see Frank asking for somebody decent in the air to defend crosses. Ever since Kane left, Spurs have been awful at defending corners; and it was typically always Kane that got his head to the ball.
