Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

There is nothing to indicate that the money won't be spent on another player. There are still a few weeks to go in the window, and waiting for the right player may be better than a knee jerk signing.

Before the first international break (and the close of the transfer windows), Spurs play Burnley, City and Bournemouth. Do Spurs have a good enough squad to deal with those fixtures, or do they urgently need to get a player in? Spurs are missing a number 10 but have enough talent on the wings to create for the strikers.
Yeah all these clubs like City , Liverpool and Chelsea that get players in early are wrong . Daniel has shown them how to do it for 25 years . Their fans all wish Daniel was running their clubs

Not sure what all the fuzz is about, I think our current squad is capable enough of staying up.
I guarantee you that Levy is genuinely chuffed with the moves he's made, that he sees no reason why us fans should complain and thinks we defo gonna be competitive with that squad.

"I've signed Kudus, who season before last was one of the PL's best players. And I got him cheaper than his release clause as West Ham were in the crapper. Top notch opportunity sniffing that."

"Same story with Palhinha...waited a year and saved 25mil. He was very good at Fulham."

"Takai is one of the JPL's best young defenders, could be the next Kim...5 mil for a guy we'll sell for 10 times that in 2 to 3 years. Plus he opens up lots of commercial opps in Japan."

"Mathys Tel was listed as one of the next big things not so long ago. Managed to get Bayern to drop their asking price by a few mil."

"Danso had a very good loan with us. And Lens badly needed the money even after selling Khusanov to City."

"Over to you, Thomas. I've built you a fantastic squad, go win me something, though I'll tell the media different to cover my back."

Now Leao I could believe. If we could get him our attack would be greatly improved.
Going forward when he either has the ball or opportunity to get involved, yes. When he loses it or Milan lose possession in attack, don’t expect him to be busting a gut pressing or trying to get back and win the ball, as he is proper lazy.

Pal, we spent 700mil over the past few years and 90% of that was on utter shite.

I could give that board 1bn today and I'd still have eff all confidence they'd sign the right players.

Literally would rather have Paul the Octopus make our transfer decisions than Levy & Lange. And poor thing Paul been dead 15 years.

Had the MGW deal completed, we would be the 2nd biggest spending club in this transfer window.

1 Woolwich FC Woolwich FC €224.20m 12 €8.00m 8 €-216.20m
2 Real Madrid Real Madrid €167.50m 7 €2.00m 5 €-165.50m
3 Liverpool FC Liverpool FC €308.68m 14 €143.30m 8 €-165.38m
4 Manchester United Manchester United €153.20m 11 - 6 €-153.20m
5 Manchester City Manchester City €176.90m 13 €33.00m 6 €-143.90m
6 Tottenham Hotspur Tottenham Hotspur €145.60m 14 €13.50m 9 €-132.10m
7 Chelsea FC Chelsea FC €279.65m 23 €151.60m 12 €-128.05m
And if Jessica Alba had a thing for middle-aged men with 4/10 looks and 2/10 bank accounts, she'd defo be sitting on my face tonight.

If its a CB it should be Hincapie.

Tall, strong, left footed and can play LB if needed. We have a lot of right footed CBs, get a left footed one in if we are not targeting a LB.

Number 10 will be the kid at Leicester who I think is backup option to someone we are waiting on that will more than likely fall through.

End to our window should be Hincapie and Eze though IMO if it's only the 2 like Ali Gold is saying. Both offer quality and diversity in their positions.

In thought Hincapie went to Atleti already…

Leverkeusen want to keep him now it seem and they aren’t short of cash

If it’s even 20% possible we should be all over it

Those using the "agree" icon need to pull their head out of their fat ass.

Ange spent 340 million.

We have paid over 60 million for a player.

Then again why let the facts get in the way of a good argument.

Ange didn’t spend anything, the club did and they spent a large chunk of that on teenagers and prospects

They also slashed the wage bill in the process. With Son leaving the wage bill has likely gone down again this summer if Bissouma leaves as well…

€60m Euros we have but £60m it’s not clear. Ndombele was close but the point stands, we’re never doing what United are about to do with Sesko, Cunha and Mbeumo in one summer because we don’t have the same drive to win

I think Spence looks better at LB than RB, and obviously we have Udogie. VDV could cover as well

Why do we need a LB?
Cause we dont have a decent one

Udogie... woeful attitude to defending.

Davis... was in decline under Mourinho. How he is still here is beyond me.

Spence... for all his aggression and power he is still not capable of doing the basics that you expect your full backs to do

VDV... weakening one area to shore up another is not a good recipe. Every time he plays left back, his hamstring pings.

Gray... we all saw what that looked like last season

Every PL club has two viable left back options. We barely have one.
