I really don't see us signing a striker.

We have Richy, who doesn't look like he's going anywhere, and we've just signed Tel who will play there at times.

Plus we've been told our focus is 10 and CB.

I'd sooner see Gil there than my actual expectations for what will happen.

This isn't a praise of Bryan Gil, it's an indictment of our other options. He's lightweight, injury prone, and has never shown anything tangible in terms of goals and assists.

But he is at least bright and positive in his intent, think he'd have more chance of making it in this country at 10 than out wide.

Instead I expect we'll see one of our many generic neither really one thing or another much of a muchness cms tasked with picking the locks until Maddison can be rushed back out onto the pitch.

We really do not have anyone in the squad to create for out strikers, you can point to the wide players as having the capability to do that, but I really don't see anything in our squad that gives me faith we will even be able to put them into dangerous situations.

There isn't a player there that is a genuine, current, prime age, superstar.
They're mostly elite level rejects or those who's best days are well, well behind them. And Jota. Weird one.

Maddison,maybe. Son, not based on the majority of last season, but we still need to replace the goals both scored.

Their respective absences possibly makes us slightly more resolute, if that makes sense.

Made worse by other teams clearly buying decent players and we, as usual, are approaching the season with many issues / injuries and a lack of depth to "compete on all fronts" as Levy said.
