Good to see there is a well thought out plan and we're not just randomly lurching around the end of window jumble sale.
To be fair, the Maddison injury was a very sudden change of plans.

It sounds like we weren't interested in Grealish at all, just checked in for some due diligence, and still don't think it's the right move.

Unfortunately this is one of those where inside information is really critical, we just kinda have to trust our people's judgment on it.

Lange and his data led approach found us Jack Grealish on loan?

Nice one

I guarantee you that Levy is genuinely chuffed with the moves he's made, that he sees no reason why us fans should complain and thinks we defo gonna be competitive with that squad.

"I've signed Kudus, who season before last was one of the PL's best players. And I got him cheaper than his release clause as West Ham were in the crapper. Top notch opportunity sniffing that."

"Same story with Palhinha...waited a year and saved 25mil. He was very good at Fulham."

"Takai is one of the JPL's best young defenders, could be the next Kim...5 mil for a guy we'll sell for 10 times that in 2 to 3 years. Plus he opens up lots of commercial opps in Japan."

"Mathys Tel was listed as one of the next big things not so long ago. Managed to get Bayern to drop their asking price by a few mil."

"Danso had a very good loan with us. And Lens badly needed the money even after selling Khusanov to City."

"Over to you, Thomas. I've built you a fantastic squad, go win me something, though I'll tell the media different to cover my back."

No player however much he costs will satisfy you.

You appear to want no development of players to exist, just a purchase of players that are the finished product.

Whether Lens wanted to sell Danso to plug a financial debt or not, why shouldn't we take advantage of that situation. He has played very well for us, and accepts that he is a squad player, not unlike Tel.

If you associate every players talent by the cost, explain Bergvall, Udogie, and Gray to us all.

All young talent that have played exceptionally well for the club.

The end of the day Frank has agreed to the purchase of some very good players, and wanted Tel and Takai, and in all fairness I'd take his decisions over player recruitment, rather than someone scanning through available players using Championship Manager.

We MUST buy a 10 (preferably 2) and I’m sure we will. Hell, El Khannouss has a 22 mil release clause if it comes to it. There are plenty of options. Eze would be my choice but Levy won’t pay the release clause due to the upfront percentage required. I’d only take Grealish on a loan and only paying half his wages.

Classic hyperbole and overreaction... like badly raised kid in candy store.
What the fuck are we supposed to do with +2 #10s when Madders and Kulu return? Play with 4 of them at the same time?

Oh no. Then the same spoiled kids will come crying why we fail to move on the players (cause most cant get proper playing time + its obvious to all buyers that we are desperate to get rid of them).

Considering we finished 17th last season, I’m not convinced that buying players that we already had on loan is something to get excited about…

Considering that we had an incompetent manager who drove a dozen players into the physio room, i wouldn't take any measure of a teams ability based on last seasons 17th finish.

I am quite excited by the prospect of better defending, better attacking and player development next season that from what I witnessed over the past two seasons.

We are being left in the starting blocks, and maybe the most pertinent post of the day so far was that a few years ago, when we did diddly squat, at least we arguably had a strong 7-7.5/10 squad of players.

This is 6-6.5/10, lwould say, so its very hard to decode, especially after Levy's summit talk.

Hope will always be there, but the balloon is in need of some air. A lot of air in truth

And yet I really think the right 2 or 3 players and we are right back where we want to be.
