They must enjoy misery 🤷🏼‍♀️
I think it’s down to a thing I call ENIC Maths:
ENIC = Tottenham
Tottenham = good
ENIC = good

Imo the ENIC In crowd genuinely deep down feel like if they go at Levy and the board, they’re essentially shitting on the club as a whole and they can’t do that for anything. It’s not that they don’t recognise the issues everyone sees, but that if they dwell on them, the mere acknowledgement of issues makes them a bad fan.

That’s my theory at least

Cheers mate. Appreciate that.

All I want is to feel that we can be competitive..

Read it twice because the first time I decided it was utter drivel.... so I read it again and confirmed to myself it is indeed utter drivel.

Tbh, you'd have thought finishing 4th bottom and recording a record number of league defeats in a season would have been that straw (despite the Europa win)
It can't get much worse than that...

Yes i agree. Its just since even then during the summer everything seems to be compounding to breaking point.
Others spending big with top quality players, Levy coming out with nonsense like wanting to win the league and pl, and wanting to build on the success blah blah.

If we don't come out of the traps decent, the team suffers with even more injuries when were already short to begin with, hes in for the biggest of shocks despite probably thinking hes ok with the el trophy. He will have to face all the anger and frustrations all at home games.

Who knows, maybe we're keeping our powder dry because we close to being sold? We can only hope.

Forgive my being pedantic, but on the topic of coherence, that post says its concerns are threefold then only lists one concern?

Maybe the opposite is true. Bit like a wife slapped around by her husband but continues to tell everyone she walked into a door when she should be calling it out.

I have just seen an ad on Amazon for a show about a woman who goes blind and tries to carry on doing her job by having another woman describe everything she's seeing in real time through a headpiece and I couldn't help checking it wasn't a clip of our scouting department at work in an "All or Nothing" follow up series.

Apparently utd have financial troubles, and yet are backing themselves to the tune of 200m.
I wonder what our beloved leader sees that nobody else does.
United don't have financial troubles. Only Madrid have higher true revenues than they do, and the Glazers+Ratcliffe are worth a combined ±£30B.

They have some debt they need to restructure, but its not so much as its made out to be. And PSR has been shown up to be just the latest toothless PR stunt.

Can't say that I've seen the show, but I can tell you that she definitely doesn't work for Spurs, simply because she's still trying to do her job.

Our scouting team wilfully closes their eyes and blocks their ears during transfer windows.

I agree with your post. It frustrates me too that we haven't made any moves more significant than signing Kudus. At the same time, I don't subscribe to the theory that the owners don't give a fuck about us being competitive. Which makes it even more baffling. Waiting to see how this will play out and if it's a multi-year strategy rather than trying to solve all our problems in one window.

Absolutely it.

Owners are stewards, they're there to serve the best interests of the club. They are not God's. This ownership, while having done a lot of good, have done a lot of not good, and have taken the club as far as they can with the means they have. They're holding the club to ransom with their unrealistic evaluation and Levy demanding a role in whatever the next phase is. ENIC are an investment company, they're using it as a vehicle for investment. Invest too much, you lose out on bottom line. If you actually believe they're serving the best interests of the club, and you're not allowed to criticize them, then you're incapable of critical thought.

Bottom line is ENIC is trying to get the best return on an investment. Nothing more, despite the staged PR interviews.
