The way to catch them is winning trophies...big ones...often.

But to do that you need to spend money on proper players...Guehi, Bastoni, Grimaldo, Bowen, Nico Williams, Isak etc.

However, our in-house geniuses prefer to sign Udogie, Bissouma, Richarlison, Tel...so we end up winning the EL just a short while after the Milk Cup vs the Scum.

Did you not watch the Levy interview. He is continueing with the bet that some regulation will develop some teeth while the Premier League Bankrupts itself getting any punishment for Man City and Chelsea.
 
Can't believe there are still people on here defending Johan Lange and his data driven analysts. Months they had to plan for this window and they came up with Takai, fucking Takai, who went on sick leave as soon as he walked in the doors.

But the Palhinha signing must be judged on what we already have.

We haven't had his type of player for years. So i think he will do us the world of good. Or do we rather play Biss or some kid in that position?

And i think we need one more. I wouldn't mind someone like Douglas Luiz in there too.

Luiz is a great shout and I agree Palhinha is an upgrade on what we have at the 6 but that's not saying much.

Nothing against Luiz, but a transfer window of Luiz, Palhinha and Kudus is probably the most Levy of all transfer windows. Which is saying something. All 3 of them are either cast-offs or players that needed to be sold by a struggling club. Nothing there that signals any intent other than finding value in the market.
