It’s not. For one, it’s unclear how they’ll fit them into their 3-4-3. Especially is sesko arrives. They’ll be looking for all three players to gel and hit the ground running and it’s not the most balanced. That will impact their midfield too.
Also, lads it’s United. They do this every year and if you watch football you know they’re shit.
Also, RW and a 6 were two areas everyone was screaming for us to improve. And we clearly have.

Notice how we were the sole club in for Solanke whereas Mbuemo had a multitude of suitors. Notice how he scored more from the wing than Solanke from CF as well as getting a whole bunch of assists. Notice how he had numerous productive prem seasons under his belt vs one.
Some of you just don’t get it. It’s not the transfer fee spent. Richarlison was expensive. Nobody else wanted him.
Mbeumo is a better player than Solanke. He just is. I don’t mind Solanke, he’s a good premier league CF. Mbuemo is a TOP PL winger.

I think some people have been defending them for so long they cant recognise that the situations changed. I think they did some good upto a point, but the decision making, recruitment on and of the pitch and now seemingly just accepting our lot has been creeping up for 7 or 8 years. I keep saying if they cant invest and show some stones now then when? We have everything needed to push on. Trouble is its actually getting worse. This isnt 2005 to 2018 anymore.
Its all about opinions. I dont think our signings have improved us on what we had last season and with Maddison gone for the season we are arguably worse. But fair to say we will very soon find out. Hope youre right and I'm wrong.

Sesko through the middle cunha to the left of him and mbuemo to the right. They already play ferndades deep so need some legs next to him which is likely why they’re after baleba.
They may not all hit the ground running but there’s a clear plan for what they’re trying to do. There’s no way you wouldn’t be heaping massive Praise onto the ownership had we not signed those 3 players.

One of the worst things about the transfer window is the perception about high fees = elite players. Sonny was 22m. Club Legend. 60m for Richarlison and he's been average. 65m for Solanke and the jury is still out.
22M in those days was comparable to the 55M we paid for Kudus, in fairness. 30M for Lamela was the club record fee at that time.
My recollection is that everybody was shocked that deal happened so quickly and we just paid the asking price without too much of the then-universal Levy haggling.
