That’s not true though, we have spent a fortune on players. They just turned out mediocre for the most part.
The focus on restricting salaries is what kills us because Levy automatically excludes any player who would command a top wage. So those players that are actually worth £60m don’t want to come and we end up spending the same fee on players like Richarlison just because they’ll accept 90k a week.
There’s no point spending those kinds of fees if you aren’t going to pay the salaries to match.

A world where we sign Grealish (on loan) to help supplement Paz (see: age/lack of exp.) makes sense; but not in the slightest interested in him being our main (and only) man @ #10.
I have no idea why people think this is funny - we’ve spent 50M per year less than we should have for 8 years. Go big or pay a refund in the ST’s
