As things stand, we've jettisoned our most productive attacking player and brought in Kudus and 30yo Palhinha.
Unless we have a stellar next four weeks, we've effectively added about 3 tackles a game and lost about a 50% G/A a game.

We don't yet know the full impact of this window, but I feel it's going to take some beating after the dust settles.. unless we sign some real quality. To be this unprepared is shocking.
Agree with the PL (I think we're likely to be competing for 7th to 12th) and the CL. As for the FA and Carabao Cups, I think we'll struggle against the first PL team we face given we'll be rotating what increasingly looks like being a thin squad.
Also, I'm never quite sure why some of us predict we'll go further in the Carabao Cup than the FA Cup... isn't it essentially the same pool of teams in each competition?

I like Sarr, good player, works hard, nice enough kid too...but no way is he a top 4 player at this stage.
Even Romero is overrated. A top level player is available all the time, doesn't miss 20 games each & every season. A top level CB doesn't concede 120+ goals in 2 years. A top level CB knows how to head the ball, doesn't need to make rash challenges...
A big problem is that the core of our squad have been in a doom spiral for 18 months and are used to losing every other game. We lack true leaders, and have few top tier players. Without the rigours of midweek European football we might have competed for top 8. But once the injuries hit, and they will, we’ll be bottom half of the table whilst playing crap football.
