If we buy Nicholas Jackson I'm done....

Yeah we need to stop buying strikers who can’t finish. Richy, solanke and tel are all average or below when it comes to putting the ball in the net. Another 50mil on jackson who can’t finish either would be mad.

Feels like this season is hanging on Frank (and his coaching team's) ability to coach improvements out of our current players which might mean we improve over the season Vs Ange's gung-ho tactics which were found out and we got worse, especially when compounded by injuries.

I think that the negative vibes set up by the transfer window and Maddison's injury means that there will be no patience for a slow start among the fanbase. Levy needs to be buying some good will as well as quality players in the remainder of this transfer window to give Frank a chance to improve what we have as a team
I think we "just" need one quality creative player now to have a decent season. By decent I mean top 5 finish and decent runs in cups. But we really do need that player.

I wouldn't get too down about Munich. It's a wake up call, but it's early days and a friendly. It offsets beating Woolwich if you want to look at it that way.

We have an HG/CT issue, and I am quite favourable to Grealish. City will want him off the wage bill and he will be desperate for football. I'd have thought there is a deal to be done and he has a point to prove. If he messed up here hed be Dele Alli mk2. In fairness City just bought the wrong player. He's actually very talented.

Only if you count Danso and Ted as additions from this window. I don’t because loan to buy deals are accounting quirks.

Even if you did count it, Chelsea and City have had numerous windows like that. Once Liverpool get Isak they will have had a window like that.

What the fuck does that mean?
Money was paid in this summer window. It is 100% black and white, there are no arguments even.
It is money paid this summer. If you notice- I am not talking about squad strengthening - I am talking about cash outlay.
In January for Tel there was just loan fee and this is it. It was negotiated and decided this summer that money would be paid.

But OK - i posted concrete figures.
Now you do to - tell me ONE transfer window where any club has paid out 460 million EUR or more. And then we'll talk.
(not to mention that usually in windows where such sums are spent ususually there is high transfer income too - which in our case will not be here - I can't see us selling players for more than 100 mil ; currently outgoings stand at 35 mil).

Liverpool would have to pay 152 million for Isak to reach this figure btw.
But give me even one previous example of one club shipping out 460 million or more in a single transfer window.
If you can't then it is another example of you just producing garbage and empty talk with no facts to back it up.

Come on Daniel , I believe in you . I have booked my flights and hotel in Budapest for the CL final. Luckily I’ve always believed in you so I already have my season tickets for our PL winning campaign.

Do not let the posters who think you are a disingenuous fool get you down . You may have proved them right for 25 years but now is your time . This my friends is about to get glorious

This.

The 2019 window is one where we genuinely tried to dine at the top end of the market.

And I’ll probably get pellets for this, but I honestly believe Ndombele and Lo Celso were the right players at the wrong time. If they had signed during the stable part of Pochettino’s tenure, I have no doubt they would have been a success.
They signed to play for Pochettino, and mere weeks after they signed he was sacked, and the club spiralled into absolute chaos for years.

They were far too little, far too late.

That is not believable at all.

It might have been true for Lo Celso, I give you that much.

But Ndombele - there was no problem initially with him at all. He started well! Just that he had absolute zero desire. He is unprofessional, lazy and unmotivated. These comments came long before he even joined us. No coach would have given him desire when all he was after was one contract that would secure him for life. And he got that at the point of signing. Why bother with anyting?

And Sessegnon (lets not forget him) was just made of glass. Stability or instability - coach one or coach two or three. It was hopeless.

So NO - Ndombele was shit purchase and unprofessional person regardless of time and coach. Example of poor decision-making by the club.
