I think we might see a bit more movement from Eze's side after Sunday when the Charity Shield is done.
In a similar way to how Son showed loyalty to us, I think Eze is doing the same with Palace.

Agreed, this is what they all say, as far back as I can remember. It's like Levy is priming them with the right words to say. Of course, Frank will just be delighted to wake up every day to a huge wage packet, as the Spurs not the Brentford manager, so he's going to do exactly as he's told, all the while he is likely suffering imposter syndrome.
Desperation makes that happen. The phrase my mates used to use when nightclubbing all those years ago was 'Go ugly early to avoid the rush'. Fair play to Levy, he's been working towards something for 23 years, whilst other teams have just been scooping up trophy after trophy by buying the players that it takes, but more importantly, paying the going wage rates to ensure the top players will actually go to their clubs. It's a choice that Levy won't pay the wages required of world class players, so how in the hell can we ever be competitive over a whole season?
It's quite remarkable how close we came under Poch, and then Levy blew that opportunity out the window by those periods of no signings to freshen up the squad. That's around the time that we used to finish above the scum and the bin dippers every season. How easily fortunes changed, and yet us turning the tables back around feels like an impossibility now.
