I don’t often have a lot to say, but, fuck it, having almost caught up in this tread just pissed me off. What are we doing? Trying to make do with the shit that’s still available and within our budget? Fuck that, we are spurs man! We are the mighty fucking spurs! Glory, glory fucking spurs! And yes, that was ours before those other cunts stole it.
I know you youngsters only have stats when comparing this era to the glory years; and the stats don’t tell you how much football has changed. In the glory years we attracted top, top talent. We had Hoddle, Waddle, Crooks, Archibald, Villa, and Ardiles to entertain us; Perryman in defense; Clemence in goal. Fucking terrorized opposition with skill up until 87/88. Every year we were up for it int the league, in the cups, even if the stats don’t show it. And those were top, top players; maybe not elite when compared to the Italians, but Seira A was where it was at not the English league. That was a time with no TV money, no transfer window, a time when defenders kicked lumps out of skillful players; and no-one called on the ref to protect the skillful players. Studs up? No problem, refs would just tell the player to get up and get on with it. Those players played with pure passion. The pussies of today wouldn’t have survived back then. And there wasn’t real money in it; no TV money, and no fucking WAGs either.
That is who we were, then. Challenging for everything every year. We were brilliant, compared to this shit! And we went down, a few years earlier. Finished stone last, loosing less games than we did last year, while playing more games in the league! Back then it was a 22 team league, and only 2 points for a win. But we still went for it every game rather than settle for a pragmatic draw or shut up shop, Mourinho style.
Football is not just about winning; it’s about the fucking glory, not my words, but a true spurs man’s. And that is who we were! That’s who we should still be, making a proper go of it with pure passion! Aiming high that even when we fail it’s still fucking glorious!
We should show that in the transfer window too! And what are we doing as fans? We shouldn’t be making fucking excuses! We shouldn’t be looking up at other fucking teams and what they’re doing. Fuck those cunts, we are supposed to be SPURS, fucking PROUD and fucking BOLD!
But this, this is who we are now, under ENIC! Fuck all glory, and not even trying! Fuck them for reducing my great team to this. The fucking cunts! I’m sorry, but there is no defending what they are doing now! I’m not going to say for the 25 years, because that would be a lie. We did grow under them; until they built the stadium. I've got no idea if there is anything illegal in what that cnut club are doing. You can't help feel that if it was, something would get done. Who knows.
What is harder to fathom is how they find all these players, why other teams, including us get nowhere near and why so many players want to be part of such a number of playing staff. I mean last I read, Boehly hadn't created 16-man a side games.
All I know is that for all my hatred towards them,they are going to get close to the PL title this season, although they lack a 30 goal a season player, and have no Terry to lead them.
In my mind they are ahead of City and on par with Woolwich.
Another day, another step closer to a relegation battle. It's obvious to everyone other than our board that we are undercooked, lacking quality and quantity. But for Levy we are good to go. The team are going to face a toxic atmosphere every home game which won't help but you can't blame the fans. This must be a record for Levy, to have fan protests on the opening day of the season. Well done Daniel... way to suck out all the joy, energy and good feeling from Bilbao. CUNT!!!
