We have supposedly completely revamped our recruitment, data analytics, scouting middle management structure and we even have Paratici lurking around in there somewhere and yet none of these cunts seem to be capable of making a fucking decision on who to fucking sign.

In the 25 seasons from 1960-85 we finished in the top 10 in the league 16 times, top 5 9 times.
In the 25 seasons under ENIC we've finished in the top 10 20 times, top 5 13 times.
Posted elsewhere including on the cups - our cup progression was slightly better in 60-85, but mostly the difference is we've bottled finals and semifinals under ENIC.
Anyway, I love the sentiment of your post. But I think the glasses are quite rosy. And you even admit there was no tv or money in football at that time - you're pining for a sport that doesn't exist anymore. Football was more egalitarian then, now its all about money - ENIC specifically doesn't control that, and replacing them won't either.
In that case put a bid in for him, because as of today no one else has.
I think Liverpool, Chelsea, Woolwich, and certainly City could do that.
But none have because they don't think he's worth that.
They are doing a similar job to the local authorities up and down the country.
They are failing at the job they are supposed to be doing; emptying bins, fixing potholes, cutting back trees and hedges so motorists can see road signs but excelling at generating revenue through the installation of average speed cameras, parking tarrifs / restrictions and traffic enforcement officers, renting out local parks for festivals and mardis gras etc while paying themselves a fortune in salaries and benefits.
Buying cheap players pays these THFC arseholes wages.
Same with Levy.
Best paid directors are all on the THFC gravy train.
