Sheffield fans notably said he was a complete passenger without the ball and called him a “luxury player”

The absolute LAST thing we need to add to a Thomas Frank is a luxury player who doesn’t have the quality Maddison did to truly run games. I’d genuinely rather pay £20m for El Khannouss because at least he has shown the potential of being a real midfielder who can actually run a game.

Either be able to run a game or be able to run all game. Simple as

Sheffield United fans voted him Young player of the year when he scored 9 and helped them through the promotion in 22/23

Absolutely incorrect to say ,'he cant press'...if anything whenever he came for City last season, he was pressing high up the field....it was so there to be seen

Lets look at the state of the club he was playing with. Sheffield conceded 104 PL goals... 104 thats 2.7 goals a game in PL. It was a abysmal PL team. The worst team ever in PL history in terms of goals conceded. Next worst was Swindon Town in 93 with 100 but they played 42 games.

Only good thing about them that season was McAtee, was still trying hard to keep the ball and progress. Theres only so much you can do in such a shite team. So dont get carried away on comments from such a season.

El Khannouss or McAtee - both are same 2nd tier good players in my eyes. We need a more ready player like Eze. But thats not the club we are unfortunately

Frank had to take the Spurs job. It was the best job he could get and he knew he'd maxed out at Brentford and was only a matter of time before that went south.

I don't think he'll be surprised about the situation at Spurs or disappointed. I think he's just happy to be here. A nice safe yes man for Levy.
After employing Jose and Conte, Frank represents a safe bet as you say.
Last thing he wants is anyone stepping out of line and telling the truth.

Who will get a handsome pay off at the end of this season or halfway through next season.

All well and good but Frank still has to perform. Hope he does well. For me i think poch or tuchel will be in charge 26/27. If it was me in charge id hire poch to stabilize us for a few seasons.

We've got 11 luxury players already. We don't need anymore.

Re: #10 I think they -mistakenly- believe that;

1) Maddison and Kulusevski are/were good enough when both are/were healthy.
2) Maddison in particular will have no problem recovering to his pre-injury level.

I don't agree with either, but if Levy and co actually think along those lines then the reinforcement they'll bring this summer won't be anything more than a stopgap player or a punt.

💯

If we were a serious club, we would’ve gotten our house in order by now.
It’s all about ‘exploring’ the market & finding ‘opportunities’, in the remaining few weeks …

No chance on Pochettino, who is absolutely not a winner, or Tuchel.

Pochettino had his chance- didn't quite deliver.

No idea how Frank will get on but move on from the aforementioned 2. Thats simply going backwards.

He’s got zero athletic gifts to speak of and can’t run a game from the centre of midfield. He is basically my worst fears for what Mikey Moore may become, a soft, tentative player who is neither attacking midfielder or winger.

Both him and Elliott are getting touted around as they’re free PSR money but if they were actually good enough for our ambitions their parent clubs would want to keep them.
Not being good enough for City/Liverpool but an upgrade for us is a reality of where we are right now.

Our attacking and left-back options are not good enough. Ritters is a good shout, and I'm worried about Bissouma's form. We're really struggling at left-back – Destiny isn't up to it. We missed a trick by not getting Robinson
