I think it's stupid even looking forward to this season now. Levy has once again proved that he doesn't have the minerals to compete.

There was nothing stopping us from spending 300m and having a similar window to United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Woolwich. But once against we've sat still and let the gap get wider.

Frank has been give no chance at all. We already know that his pragmatic style will not be overly popular within the stadium so he needs results quick to get the crowd onside. And Levy has screwed him.

It's going to be a horrible long season and I'm dreading it already.
ENIC do not have 300000 to spend which is why John Thomas and followers want a change of ownership. I actually agree they should sell up as we need more money invested and I cannot see a minority investor being happy with Levy still being in control.

Just under a week untill the season starts and we have a squad as weak as ferret piss.
We’ve given the new manager no chance to try and do anything this season. Feel sorry for the fella already. Long hard season ahead. Good luck Frank your gonna need it

Going into the Super Cup game - a showpiece game - against the best team in Europe with one single first team signing in the 81 days since Bilbao whilst knowing our injury list, then that injury list getting added to is nothing short of utter negligence

What I REALLY worry about at this point is panic stations setting in and us blowing 80-90m on McAtee & Elliot or other similar players that don’t really change the fortune of our side.

Then when Levy does his next interview with Neville he can continue to talk about net spend on transfers but ignoring:-

A) Our net spend is so high because we can’t sell
B) We’re spending lots but on mediocre players, our scouting is pretty poor
C) Part of the reason B is happening is that we’re not particularly effective in the market early doors and end up panicking.
D) Our wage restrictions are prohibiting the type of quality we need

Strategically we’re a fucking mess this window.

Every single youth talent going out on loan but Woolwich could potentially first team a 15 year old.
Our youth system is as broken as our transfers.
I agree with the sentiment that we aren't doing enough to bring through our youth players and particularly think it makes no sense to be loaning out Donley off the back of a good L1 loan when we don't currently have a #10, but I would be willing to put a substantial amount of money that Dowman doesn't play any meaningful minutes for Woolwich this season, they've thrown him into a couple of friendlies against weakened teams and he's done alright winning a couple of pens, it's complete conjecture and hyperbole to claim he is now first-team ready. Plenty of players at every club in the PL get minutes through pre-season and are never seen once competitive fixtures start.

Is it true that Eze's contract expires in 2027?

Potential suitors might be playing the waiting game if this is the case. He doesn't seem like the type that'll commit his peak years to a mid table club.

Palace shouldn't be messing around with this, losing both him and Guehi for highly discounted prices (if not for nothing) could potentially be ruinous.

I wonder if Liverpool May go for Eze now for the if they can’t get Isak out of newcastle.
