Only catching up on this news now.

He’s undoubtedly a very good player, but is he not pretty much the exact same style of player as Kudus? He’s a right winger who is at his best cutting in onto his left foot.
In fact, I would argue you would struggle to find a player more similar to Kudus in the league!

Not against the signing, but if it means no new 10, no new LW, no new striker, or no new LCB/LB then I would have reservations.

His most productive season so far in his young career is at LW for Girona. Think he's our long term Son replacement.

Hes better on the left watch his girona games he's actually got better stats on the left

Brentford don't face parked buses for roughly half the season like we do..... That's Franks own personal challenge; he needs to evolve to overcome that.

Positional semantics aside; we absolutely need someone to create for our fwd players.
That is true but actually with how the game has evolved there aren't many teams in the PL that actively want to take a bus park approach.

Nuno at Forest, possibly Moyes at Everton, Sunderland, Burnley, Palace and Wolves to an extent. Ironically I think Brentford without Frank will be more open than we will be.

However one of the things I like about Frank are the different gameplans so yes on the occasions we want to assert ourselves on the ball we do need a 10.

I personally think donley could have made that step. He has football IQ and weight of pass. He also has a good temperament and willingness to learn. He won't be at Maddison levels but he adds a skillset that nobody else in the club has. I said straight after Maddison got injured to cancel his loan at stoke. Already got 1 assist at the weekend, made a good decision to square the ball for a tap in when he could easily have been greedy and tried to score from a narrow angle himself. He's more of a standout player than Moore for me from our academy.

When looking on sofa score some of the highest match ratings he's received @ City have been when he's played on the left side
Frank loves crosses too, it makes perfect sense to play him on the left and Kudus RW.

I like him on the left a million times more than I do Tel or Johnson that’s for sure, at least he is a real winger. He’s definitely better than Odobert too although I would like to see Wilson given a chance there tbf.

Hopefully get the best out of Dom too

An article from Friday ........

How Tottenham really feel about being offered chance to sign Savinho from Man City

Savinho enjoyed an underrated campaign in terms of his creativity for City, managing more assists and chances created than Maddison.
The 21-year-old is also capable of playing on either flank and as a number ten, with his versatility being an underrated trait.

Seems like more of his better end product came from the LW
