Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I watched him last season. He’s another Doku, with a bit more directness to him. All bark, no bite type of player. The only thing he has going for him is that his crossing is quite decent, which can unlock Solanke. We need a lethal LW who has some directness in him, and Savio is not it, because he’s not lethal enough. If we knew we were going for this sort of player, then why the fuck didn’t we go for Cunha in the first place?

Last season was not suitable for his style under Pep. He needs space to run . His game is suited for a more transitional system . So he would be perfect for Frank. Even under Pep where he had no room to stretch he made 10 assists in PL.

I can only see positives. If our stupid mgmt can close this deal , this would be a big coup.
Finally we will have 2 wingers who will attract opponents and there in lies the opportunity to break teams

They don't like us and they hate Levy! A lot unhappy with him leaving which is a good sign.

His finishing definitely needs some work, seeing his last 70 shots was interesting, unlucky not to score more and definitely a lot of potential there. Some awful shots in there too.

He is 21 - not a finished product yet. He creates chances that’s all that matters for us now.

When looking on sofa score some of the highest match ratings he's received @ City have been when he's played on the left side
According to transfermarkt, In his career stats he's played 58 times as left wing and 57 as right.

His goals and assists are way better when he's played on the left.

Saw this from a City fan on Reddit:

"My guess is that he’s concerned about playing time.

Right wing options at the moment include Savinho, Bobb, Foden, and Cherki. Doku can also play there obviously (played mostly RW Rennais).

Savinho’s primary skillset: dribbling, left footed passing/crossing: overlaps almost entirely with Bobb’s, but Bobb is a much more complete player, and is frankly equal to or better at almost everything that Savinho offers.

City are also over the limit of 17 foreign players for PL registration and a few players will need to leave, or remain unregistered.

All of that being said, Savinho moving on makes sense.

He’d be a really good signing for someone, though I think whoever signs him would be well minded to consider moving him back to the left wing, where he really excelled attacking the byline for Girona."

Frank loves crosses too, it makes perfect sense to play him on the left and Kudus RW.

I like him on the left a million times more than I do Tel or Johnson that’s for sure, at least he is a real winger. He’s definitely better than Odobert too although I would like to see Wilson given a chance there tbf.
Is he better than Tel though?

48 games for them and 3 goals.

Tel already has 3 in 20

Genuinely don't know.
