Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I'm quite excited by this potential signing but given we triggered a release clause for MGW and still somehow couldn't pull it off in the most Spursy way possible I'm keeping my powder dry until he's holding up the lilywhite.

City have a habit of collecting players they don't actually need. He is very talented and settled in quickly it seems. Good deal if we can get it over the line.

I don’t mind taking City excess as being a vast oil club they stockpile tons of players and they operate with a Pep requirement for technical excellence so if one guy is 5% not good enough he still walks into most teams.

A City reject is often better than a mid table first team player.

Is he better than Tel though?

48 games for them and 3 goals.

Tel already has 3 in 20

Genuinely don't know.
Tel and Johnson are not wingers though. They’re wide forwards. Kudus and Savinho are wingers. The problem last season is we were too often playing two wide forwards stuck on the touchline.

Now we’d have more versatility and a manager who’s not stuck on just having touchline wingers. You’ll see Solanke dropping off into midfield to hold the ball and Johnson or Tel coming out to in to get on the end of balls.

Genuine question

I'm not decided on Tel because of his age.

But would we be getting more excited if we were buying this new wonder kid called Mathys Tel with better stats than Savhino from Man City?

It's all perception and if he's just another Tel then it's right to ask the questions.

I've been burnt by Soldado, Rebrov, Iverson, Los Celso, Ndombele .....the list goes on.

I think Pep doesn't know what he wants half the time. He has spent most of his managerial career basically having access to a cheat code.

This is the kind of answer I was hoping from my question as I genuinely don't know.

Deadly serious

Just a question

If Tels stats are better than Savhino s then surely it's up for debate.
Tel's stats are not better than Savinho's though. Savinho had more G+A contributions in just the league in his last season at Girona than Tel had in his entire spell at Bayern (60 games) and got 10 PL assists last season, an impressive haul for a wide player in their debut season in this league.

Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish says the club will sell captain Marc Guehi this summer to avoid losing him on a free at the end of his contract.

The Eagles rejected offers for defender Guehi from Newcastle United in January - the last of which was worth £65m - in the hope the defender would sign a new deal in south-west London.

I thought we bid 70m in Jan for him?
