Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Been watching El Kannouss.

Took him 10mins or so to be visible in the game. He’s had one decent half volley which went just wide of the post.

He seems to have a role where he’s allowed to wander a bit. Playing centrally but popping up on the wings especially the right, where a few times he’s tried whipping the ball in for strikers to get their head on.

Doesn’t look particularly quick as such, he’s a bit of a glider, as opposed to a pace merchant. Certainly more of a passer than someone who’s going to be taking people on in one on one’s based on this, although at least once he’s taken a touch beyond an outstretched foot to give himself a bit of space.

Seems to be decent in terms of his technique, though he’s just taken a foul throw.

Probably harsh when this is one of the first times I’ve really specifically paid attention to him, but certainly seems to be in the ‘last minute budget option’ section of players for us should we go for him.
This match report reminds me of ones of early Eriksen in match threads on SC back in the day. “Well, he didn’t do much, won’t put his foot in, and his two assists were set pieces…” Probably a 94% pass completion on both too.

You see that's just not right according to Transfermarkt

Tel Career - 4799 minutes played

31 goals

7 assists

Savhino Career - 8187 minutes

18 goals

27 assist

There's not much in it

However that suggests that Rebrov_Likes Rebrov_Likes hit the nail on the head when he said Tel is more of a wide forward and Savhino is more traditional winger.

But either way, he's young and could be useful and if he's a provider and different to what we already have then that is exactly what we need.

It means Tel and Savhino are not either/or and could play together

Tel Solanke

Savhino, Midfielder , Midfielder, Kudus

Udoggie VDV Romero Porro

Vicario

The central pairing could be any of Pahalina Bentancur, Bergvall, Sarr dependant on opponent.

You'd also have Johnson, Odobert, Richarlison, Danso, Spence fighting out to push the first 11.

And that's without even factoring Kulusevski returning.
Just looking at the sum total at the bottom of the Transfermarkt page is not an accurate way to collate a player's minutes and contributions, 12 of Tel's goals in that summary were scored playing U19 football.

Hes got incredible skill. Far more further along then odobert and tel and hes younger than scarlett ffs.

Id be really chuffed if we get this over the line. Younger generation gonna get buzzing at this one!
