So much for this window makes no sense. Savinho is one of city's best 3 attacking outlets, and if I was a city fan absolutely one of would not want to lose. Madness that they're considering it but Pep has been talking about selling players all summer. Just no idea why they wouldn't sell worse ones. I'll still be surprised to see it go through, but ecstatic because he is mint, even if we're not in urgent need for his favoured position.

Also lots of chatter about him being keen on the move, also odd, but I'll take it

On Savinho, if the rumours say Rodrygo is also available, which would be the better fit do people think?

True! Just the way we've been moving in this window, early stage is Lange discovering a player exists. Club to club negotiations is almost so late stage we don't believe it.

Savinho is 21, earning a/c to rumours only £40k pw, since shitty signed him from one of their "partner" clubs.

Rodrygo is 24, earning Euros 240k pw, which is just over £200k.

The stories are saying Savinho is more than open to joining us, whereas Rodrygo isn't.

I never thought signing Rodrygo was possible but, if by some miracle it had happened, my fear was he would have demanded huge wages and then believed himself bigger than the club. A prima donna, not willing to press etc.

Savinho is younger & hungrier, with plenty left to prove. An up & coming Brazilian wizard anxious to show his sklls in a World Cup year? Yes, please.

Interestingly, Rodrygo has never had a season in La Liga where he had as many G/As as Savinho's final season for Girona. Could be because he was forced to play out of position?

I knew this would end up happening hence my tantrum the day Ben Davies got the contract extension.

Ofcourse I was told to calm down on here and was told that this would have no impact on us signing a new left back!

We here we are in August, 2 days before the super cup. Udogie injured and no new left back signed. It was so predictable.

I'm not going to have a conversation about this, but I would suggest looking a little deeper than just the headline revenue figure to see what the financial situation of a business is, but then you have a particular slant on this that will never change because it seems you want to be pissed off about it and enjoy Levy bashing as some kind of a weird hobby.
Even if you look at it from a personal finance point of view how many people on here own a house at 400k but couldn't muster together 20k in cash if they needed to, even with wages (revenue) coming in.
