Wouldn't honestly hate playing BJ as a number 9 until Solanke is fit if it guaranteed us getting a top class LW and 10 in, won't happen but hey ho.

BJ does alot of things poorly but his instinctive positioning and finishing is decent. Don't really need him holding the ball up if Kudus is there gobbling everything up, play balls into the box to brennan and he will get goals, moreso than a makeshift richi or tel.

Palace confirmed in Conference league.
Absolutely sucks for them and totally unfair IMO.

Nevermind. Their stadium is just about conference league standard. They might win that imo.

If people had a choice for the 10 between Eze, Paz and Akliouche I'm interest to know who'd they'd choose?

I presume Eze would run away it, experince, 27, PL proven etc. but I do worry a little bit about seeing Palace fans saying "he can disappear in games" and "went missing the first half of last season" etc. is he more of a dribbler than a killer incisive passer, which i think is more what we're in desperate need of .

i haven't seen enough of Paz or akliouche to judge them but I hope we looking at the player that most resembles a Carrick or Eriksen where passing is the main attribute and ideally two footedness (a quality often underappreciated in Eriksen).

my fear is with Eze and clips of the other two lads is that they're all dribblers rather an killer passes.

anyway just my random thoughts

I'll actually take Silvinho. I've seen flashes of his potential for Man City and find him far less frustrating to watch than Doku.

Although I don't know why we are allowing Everton to take Grealish on loan and not doing that ourselves.

This seems a really weird transfer - none of it makes a lot of sense. We do like picking up young exciting talent, but almost never established first team players from other clubs at the top of the PL. Normally its a punt or a recently relegated club we are speculating on the player coming good.

City get money out of this of course, but they dont "need" it and are about to shift Grealish's wages.

We still dont solve the number 10 issue unless the idea is to put Kudus there till Maddison or Kulu return. Weve got Johnson, Tel and Odobert already in the wing positions - Richy can also play that inside left role, and Mikey Moore will return next year and be trying to get in the squad more often. The glaring problem we have is our very "functional" midfield with Bergvall the only real box to box player after MGW didnt get over the line, and a load of DM's that arent creative.

It just feels like a deliberate "Levy Leak" about an exciting player we'd all love to see here, then for it to not happen even though the club "tried its best" - heard that record before
It does make sense. Yes we have numbers in the squad but not the required quality.

If you can get Kudus and Savinho on your wings then you have the foundations of a serious attack.

My guess would be over the next couple of years it plays out as:

LW: Savinho, Odobert
CF: Solanke, Tel
RW: Kudus, Johnson
10: NEW, Moore

Richy, Maddison and maybe Kulu to move on.

Moore to compete with Odobert for LW minutes and maybe convert to a 10 longer term.

I’d take the French lad. Seems exciting.

I like Eze a lot but the one I REALLY want from palace is Wharton .. it won’t happen as they know he’s the golden one and will price him way out of a move.

Guy is liquid football. Silk.

I did say ref the melting accusations thrown at us Levy outers , the defence force think they are Chuck Norris . Well here is the proof

Shady Dan AIN'T no Chuck Norris.

He's more like a fully paid up Levybot who doesn't give a shit that literally nobody likes him because of his views.
