Why did we pay more for Gray over Wharton?

Wharton isn’t obtainable for under 100m and we will never pay that.

He’s definitely not worth that at this point either as injuries are a question mark and off the ball and physically he still needs work .. I can understand not paying 100m for a player who needs work, that should be a complete package or a total guaranteed megastar like a young Neymar.

But if he can develop defensively a bit and stay fit he will be an incredible midfielder.

Shady Dan AIN'T no Chuck Norris.

He's more like a fully paid up Levybot who doesn't give a shit that literally nobody likes him because of his views.

I did say they think they are Chuck , I never said they were Chuck Norris . I think I am George Clooney but have yet to meet someone who believes me

€60m amortised; €12m
€120m amortised; €24m
€240m amortised; €48m

Keeley €?m, Son €20m, Hojbjerg €17m +

Bissouma €65m (final year so price reduced)
Gil €85m (interest in Spain, bargain price so should sell quick)
Solomon €95m (Leeds gofundme page just hit €89m so should get done soonish)
Richarlison €117m (homeward bound, prized asset)

Obviously … Savinho was the main man at Girona, Rodrygo was a second fiddle at Madrid. I’m not even totally huge on the idea of Rodrygo the megastar but if he plays in his preferred position for a whole season he does a lot more than score one premier league goal I’ll tell you that.

He’s the more complete, well rounded, ready now player by far. Mentioning us in his convo is pointless as we won’t touch the wages. Him to city while we take the much more raw player makes sense for both clubs.
It's swings and roundabouts though, as being the main man could result in being double marked etc. Also, Rodrygo had the advantage of better midfielders for supply.

Ofc Rodrygo is ahead right now, but hard to judge him given he's been out of position for so long. Don't think he'll go to City, they're dealing with HG issues which is partly why they're selling Savinho.

Reports of €50m sense to me as well. Even a bit higher but not this nonsense £70m going around

But tbh I don’t give a fuck about transfer fees so much. We all know what this club will and won’t pay for a player
I don't actually care about fees and how much they make per week for running after a ball.

The No 1 thing I want, the absolute non-negotiable, is players that are gonna give 110% every single game they put on the Spurs shirt.

If they also got top abilities with the ball, great...but style ain't nothing without substance.

Wouldn't honestly hate playing BJ as a number 9 until Solanke is fit if it guaranteed us getting a top class LW and 10 in, won't happen but hey ho.

BJ does alot of things poorly but his instinctive positioning and finishing is decent. Don't really need him holding the ball up if Kudus is there gobbling everything up, play balls into the box to brennan and he will get goals, moreso than a makeshift richi or tel.

He doesn’t have the work rate or desire to be a striker.

Palace confirmed in Conference league.
Absolutely sucks for them and totally unfair IMO.

They actually have a great chance of winning it tbf. Probably their best chance of getting into Europe again. I wouldn’t be too despondent if I was a Palace fan.
