I generally do not think he is worth more than 55-65 mil, but of course have to keep in mind that Levy "genius strategy" of sitting on his hands for most of first 2 months of the window will mean we have to pay some premium to get anyone of quality at all...

Below is excerpt from PL site on a March article (Analysis: Who will triumph in the battle of the league's best wingers?)

"best crossing accuracy (23.8 per cent), produces the most successful open-play crosses (0.9 per 90), and creates the greatest number of chances in open play (2.1 per 90)."

It doesnt matter it was Haaland at the end of it - what matters is what he did before....and what he did before is far ahead of most PL wingers, certainly we didnt have anyone in squad close to this numbers

I know he's creative but of course it matters, a lot of his chance creation was based on putting balls in for an absolute monster of a striker.

Sterling was for sure… but he was PL proven and City paid >£50M for him 10 years ago.

Sane had two good seasons at City (10G/11A + 10G/15A), when City were outspending everyone and walking the league.

Last season, Pep’s plan down the right-side was plugging in Foden or Bilva, and finally KDB drifting out right and sending in crosses.

Pep’s plan down the left was trying to encourage Doku to actually do something, play Gvardiol at LB, and finally, buy the best available #9 in January (Marmoush) and stick him out left.

City are a mess.
 
Savinho -50m to 60m might get him. But I would go as high as 80m for him.

If he repeats 2023/24 season but in PL , his value probably jumps to 100m+ easy in 1 season.

Why ? That season in 2023/24 for Girona
  1. Had the most successful dribbles in the league with 104, outperforming wingers like Vinicius Jr. and Nico Williams.
  2. Was the top creator, ranking first in Goal-creating actions (25) and Expected Assists (9.9). He was also second in the league for passes into the penalty area (60).
  3. Ranked first in both progressive carries (181) and progressive carrying distance (5124m). He also had the most combined goals and assists from ball carries (10)
We didnt see much of this stats last season. He didnt need to do lot of carries, as ball was already upfield most times. City doesnt play counter attacks or transition football..

So you get a good Savinho in 2024/25 but to get the best of him, IMHO, he has to play in a side that plays counter attacks or transitional football.

This is why I am hoping that we do the bloody deal. I cant stress enough , how big a transfer this could be
 
In carabao cup last year thought savinho was their most dangerous player. 21 and still learning trade with upward trajectory. 70m euros of course is a lot of money but its a no brainer signing. A tottenham type signing.....quality!

You are massively overrating him based on a single breakout season in La liga. Like hugely. 80m pounds for him would be crazy.

One goal for Brazil and one goal for Man City at his time there. We would be getting absolutely dunked at 80 million ... the 60 or so seems a relatively fair price for a player they are happy to let go (have a superior transitional player in Doku) and who wants to leave to play each week.

Because he was under 18 so it took longer/more difficult to get a work permit. He's 18 now so I imagine will walk into the match day squad.
