I do rate him a lot... My point on 80m was , thats the limit upto which he can be overpaid for. Remember we are in a market where Madueke was paid 50m+
Thankfully, his sub par season (in some peoples eyes) might mean we get him between 50-60m.

Madueke was a fucking stupid price and laughed at by everyone including their own fans. He's a very decent dribbly head down talent with loads to learn too, not as good as Savio but English tax added a huge % and Woolwich sucking Chelsea off tax added another 10% on top.
If we get savinho and being bold id offer 60m plus johnson to forest to get MGW. Nothing ventured nothing gained.
Is this satire? There's no way City cover any of his wages.
I'm not doubting Savio is very talented .. in fact I absolutely think he is, he'd be an absolute dreamboat for us compared to what we have.
But 80 million pounds is what you pay for the finished article. 50/60 these days gets you a top talent who isn't quite there and that's what we should be looking to pay.

Doku was €60M and has 3G/6A + 3G/10A in two seasons at City.
But some around here shit on Brennan Johnson (same age, €55M, 11G/5A + 5G/11A in two seasons at Spurs) any chance they get.
Hes quality, young and the type of player we should be signing. Reminds me a bit of venables days. Top quality signing. Eze, ederson, lookman and another LB we mean business.
But the most completed dribbles (by a mile) of any player in the league, which is what people are loving about Savio.

So, If we want the best players, we have to play premiums. We cant keep getting away with value deals. This is why we cant sell anyone because we always end up going for a cheaper but average option. We have to push the envelope for certain deals. My point is, he is one player who we can & should push for.
We get Savinho now, our Left wing is sorted for next 4 -5 yrs. This is why Liverpool do the best transfers. They know when to push and when to go for value deals
Solanke, Tel & Richarlison...that's utterly pathetic as No 9 options. Wouldn't even sign any of them if I was West Ham.
Any attempt to negotiate with Forest would be a waste of time now and we need to get deals sorted. We tried for MGW, we messed it up, club needs to find a different target. Not worth revisiting

We can get 2 great no10 from other top4 european league for those money. MGW isnt worth 100m (I am valuing Johsnon atleast 40m)
I do think we need 1 more central defender so can rotate vdv and romero. Danso and another quality defender is good back up. Romero worries me with his discipline and vdv hamstring. Jury still out for me a little bit on Danso regarding ball possession. Decent signing though.

Savinho had 1G/10A last season for City in 200 more minutes than Doku (3G/6A), and is two years younger.
Edit: Also, Doku has never played >1600 minutes in ANY league season, whereas Savinho played 3000 minutes for Girona in 2023/24.
