Nah. I absolutely hate the ownership but youd have to give credit where its due. We were never going to build the perfect team to compete in 1 summer.
I think if we somehow got kudus, eze, savinho along with palhinha in one window its worth more than 8 outta 10, id say 9 comfortably.

I dont think we will manage to get eze and savinho. I personally think if we get savinho that will be it attack wise for this season so therefore it will be a 7 window but overshadowed slightly by the loss of maddison.

Man United just paid over £70m for Sesko.
90 goals in 210 games.
None of them in this country.
Many of them in lower leagues.
Chelsea are selling players who mean less to them than Johnson does to us for silly money.

What you Johnson haters need to understand is that it doesn't matter what you think, we shouldn't be offering our key players away for fucking peanuts.
Especially as the same fans suggesting such astonishing dumb shit will the moan the loudest we haven't got the money for all the shiney new things they want.

As I said i know we can't get all but going in with solanke and rich even with this attacking force behind me worries me. I give solanke a chance with better players but rich is crap

I agree, but my big beef is that we're going into the season without them. The other players have been working with him for 5 weeks or so now, so these guys are going to take time to adjust, not the league but the system.

Encouraging *if* they sign both. This buy 3 players for the price of one strategy has clearly failed. So if they want to shift to plug in starting players, at least it's a good first step. Doubt they both, slightly pessimistic they get one though.

Yer I see what you're saying but for me its simple.....

IF IF IF we somehow got savinho and eze (which is dont think we will) we would defo be in the mix for 5th which is as much as you can ask for with a new manager and with how crazy others have gone this summer plus they are further into there projects.

I don't hate Johnson at all, I actually really like him, hence why I said I'm happy to keep him. But I understand his role, and how precarious it is.

Comparing Johnson to Sesko is a ridiculous equivalency, they offer different things, in different positions. Again, like what club is going to pay £60m for him. None of the top 6 would, don't see Newcastle being that desperate. I guess Murphy is also a £60m player?

He does one thing very well, but the other parts of his game aren't good enough. A blind man can see that. £20m and him for GMW wouldn't be that outlandish, certainly not peanuts, and key player? If Savinho is indeed signed, he's going to be a rotation player, not a key player.
 
Let’s just say for one second we sign Savinho and Eze. That would be:
Tel 30m
Takai 5m
Kudus 55m
Palhinha loan fee, 4m
Savinho 60m
Eze 65m

That’s an outlay of over 200m with only Son recouping any cash so far. Is there a chance in hell Levy would spend that?

It would be nice, but Levy is so tight, if we buy Sav, he'll think he's played a blinder already, and we'll all be shouting for Levy statues. Needs for work, for sure.

Surely this is a world in which at least Bissouma and probably Richy as well have found new homes for some additional incoming. PEH brought in some money as well.

No way mate savinho for one stops players marking kudus and unleashes the shackles off both. Eze aswell would mean there's a 3rd dribbler in the side to mark teams would be scared to death its a shame about the striker position as that would let it down. Robinson we can always get in jan.
 
Does anyone think we need a better quality, less nervous GK, like sooner rather than later? I'm sure our defence is affected by Vicario's erratic behaviour, great shot-stopper that he is.

I guess if you wrote down a list of priorities, a new GK is a but of a luxury right now.
