Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I mean LOL back -

Who else has signed Eze?

You do realise there is more than one party involved in a transfer right? Two clubs, player, agent etc....

Arsneal have reportedly been wanting him for as long as we have and there has been nothing happening there either..... perhaps Palace were waiting till they found out about Europa to start entertaining bids..... maybe Eze would have stayed for a season in Europe with Palace.

You simply do not know - There will always be one single reason as to why folks like you think things happen - you literally bend over backwards and tie yourself in knots to link any negative thing that happens to us back to one focal point.

I get it, it's easy - requires less thinking....
With all due respect please don’t call them by name, Woolwich or the Darkside or Scum sounds so much better COYS

Do not think Eze will happen … why would we wait until a few days before the season starts and after his release clause has expired? If we were serious we would have bought him for £68m 7 weeks ago.

68 million would be an insane amount of money to pay for a 27 year old player who has never played in Europe, rarely scores goals, and even more rarely sets one up. Oh, and he also pulled his hamstring in November - so that's something to look forward too.

If he was genuinely any good - he wouldn't be playing for Crystal Palace at 27 years old.

I did see something that Palace wouldn’t negotiate anything (after his release clause expired) until the community shield and CAS outcome was in.
If Guehi is leaving for big money I guess Palace don't need to sell him at all. He still has 2 years on his contract, they can wait until next Summer. They might get less for him then, but if he helps them win the Conference thing that could be seen as worth it.

We can do quick deals if we want.

It's fairly consistent across the timeline from outlets that the interests for Eze was there right after the season ended. It sort of cooled during those tours, and news were coming out he's holding for the scum. And now our interest resurfaced again. Your justifications don't explain why unless you can explicitly say the journalists are all taking Spurs fans for a ride.

In fact I don't deny your points at all, but you seem to be keep having the thought that we are operating on the same level as every other clubs. But we honestly don't. The steps and fundamentals are the same, but the cheque holders are different. Levy is mostly opportunistic and nothing changes that.

I don't know the intricacies in all these transfer, honestly neither do you. No offense, but what you have posted are really common sense and some of our doubts regarding our passive transfers have probably thought those through, so talking about thinking less, lol..

It won’t be 68m

Eze is most definitely “genuinely any good”

I would love to see Savinho and Eze arrive but it’s a Levy ploy he has no intention of signing them all he wants is to feed us crap 💩 and keep the supporters quiet. It might affect his yearly multi million pound bonus. Wee barsteward.

Nah im not getting sucked in, seems way too far fetched, almost too perfect to happen.

Savio im fairly confident on. City will sell, he will be no1 in his position here and levy and co are in a tight spot and the optics would look horrific if they missed again after mgw. Also pep tends to freeze players out once there's any sign of a slight drop in commitment. I think that deal gets done.

Eze oozes spurs also and I think we have wanted him for years. I don't buy it when people say hes not what we need and I think all this ball Carrier rather than a passer is abit of a myth. He can pass more than well enough, great ball retention, can drop the opposition like a concrete block and has a lovely passing on him, especially those low fizzed ones into the path of runners. In and around the opposition box having kudus, eze and savio is just a dream trio to have. How far behind the best in the league is that? Not much if any imo.

Just seems too perfect, coupled with the fact we have odobert, Tel, johnson and Richie to keep happy.

I hope im wrong, let's see.

A purported statement of fact followed by one that negates it entirely.

It is pretty clear that the Eze deal has been complicated for several reasons, so personally I do not think this one is the one to prove, disprove or a stick to beat the club with.

We need a genuine no 10 like Eriksen or Maddison and not a can play no 10 like Kula, Kudus & Eze. These are all wide players. If and I do not think we will buy both EZe & Sav, then the purchase of Tel looks madness of the scale of Chelsea’s purchases. If we were going to buy Eze we would have done so already but Sav could happen.

Maybe Levy has finally decided to show some ambition lol

Knows his time is up soon enough if he doesn't lol

Ah screw it. I’ve had my coffee now.

We’re gonna win the lot. Eze, Sav and Kudus are going to run a mock at the San Siro, Bernabeu and Emirates.

Joao is gonna break all modern day records for duels and tackles won.

Romero is going to get shoulder injuries from the amount of heavy silverware he’s gonna have to lift in the next 9 months.
