Our best bet is if Eze has actually got fed up with Woolwich. Signing Madueke for 55m last month must have been a kick in the teeth especially now when Woolwich have informed his camp that they want to sell Trossard first before they can bid for him.
I worry about how genuine our interest is though. Will Levy sanction this and Savinho in the same week? Does Levy offer less than the release clause? Does Levy let the release clause expire and try sign him next week? so much can go wrong. And then maybe Woolwich still bid for him!
If we are serious then we offer the release clause right now and give Eze the ultimatum.

I don't see both happening either. I think most likely is we get Savinho but not Eze. As always, we'll be a key player short in the first XI.

Several clubs were after Eze last summer, and it may be he has a verbal promise from Parish that he can go to a Champions League team if the offer is acceptable to Palace.
There is still confusion amongst the football correspondents as to whether his release clause has already expired, or expires this Friday when the PL starts.
The risk is once a club has a total fee and payment structure accepted by Palace, a rival club could match it. Only then will Eze have to choose.
If we are the only club to have a bid accepted, I'm confident he'll sign for us.
If other bids are accepted, I still think there's a good chance he signs for us, because it sounds as if Frank & Eze's friend Cochrane will set up the team with Eze in the 10 / ACM role, which won't necessarily be the case elsewhere.
I think the key to it is making him feel special. Telling him he would be the main man, it would be his team, he’d be the face of the club, get Sonny’s No 7 shirt. Players have egos, they like them to be massaged.
This is almost certainly all this is. Hurry up or your biggest rivals get him.
Given how we operate though I don't know if Woolwich fall for it.
