And then you woke up
I know, I know.

But really, why shouldn't a club like ours go after a player like him? He shouldn't be out of reach...on paper.

Make the move, but not for a stunt, really go for it. He turns us down, so be it. But that's showing much more ambition than a Timo or Tel. That's showing your fans - and head coach, players - you've heard their concerns and you're trying to do something big about it.

Exactly, why people go on about fees so much I've no idea.

Like they're happy at 50 million but not 60 lol
Because there’s a budget for the window.

Wasn’t the minimum release for Kudus £90m? Would you have been fine paying that? Accepting of course that it’s not your money. Even if it meant that the budget had now ran to a low enough level that we couldn’t afford Eze or Savinho?

“just pay what they want” and “I don’t care about the fee” are two of the strangest sentiments on this forum and that’s up against some serious competition.

I know we can afford it and I know we have PSR room, but cash isn’t infinite.

Hotspur88 on SC re Savinho

Small update...

Been told this is almost there now. I'd been told a fee had basically been agreed so it's looking very likely 🤝🏽

We absolutely could afford Isak and ought to see ourselves as a contender for players like that, but we probably can't afford Savinho, Eze AND Isak, and the other stuff is more important.

Back on topic: I just watched the Charity shield highlights and seen Eze's penalty.

:wansum:

I fucking hate prancy daft-bastard run-ups. It's not an opportunity to express your uniqueness, or your ability to sneak up on a gazelle, you're not fooling anyone. Just twat it!

Why on earth would Isak want to go to a club that just finished 17th and is going to have one year of CL before likely missing out on europe more often than not?

How do you know what the budget is....

It's pointless speculating, just let the powers that be worry about the Financials, we're not privy to any of it.

As if they're going to be reckless anyway. Yes big signings don't always work out (Ndombele) but that's with hindsight.

Going on about precise figures and what you'd be happy for the Club to spend on any given player is pointless.

'Just pay what they want' is stupid but banging on about a ten million difference when there's not a single fucking expert on here is equally so.

Isn’t it funny how all these ITK’ers know the ins and outs of the negotiations today but didn’t know they had been happening until Fab and co broke the story . . .

Almost as if they’re making it up or something.

Any of Savinho, Eze or BEK would be fine with me- obviously Savinho or Eze would be amazing, but the reality is we absolutely need to add an attacker that can man the 10/wing position. If BEK were to come I would absolutely support him as I would hope all Spurs supporters/fans would too.

I watched them both on Sunday and they are both very good players. I liked the Leicester kid more and I think he would fit in better for us. He is young with potential to get better.
Eze is 27.

About Eze's age. He should be hitting his peak years, we should see the best of him in the next two or three years and in that time we have Moore, Donley and that Barnett kid who are very good young talents and who will have time to gain experience to be ready to take over when Eze is done
