Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Mixed reports about it. Nobody knows.

My opinion is that his release clause active and it expires this Friday. That would make it 2 weeks before the end of the window, which from Palace's point of view, makes sense so that they don't end up losing him right at the end of the window, if someone triggers it, and they can't replace him.

I think that date makes more sense, than the previous one about it expiring two weeks before the season starts.

It would also back up why we have decided to approach Palace this week, but then that could be because we were waiting until after the charity shield match.

So basically, fuck knows
I read something last year that his release clause goes dormant once the season starts and before the window closes

I floated it on this board and no one replied …. My unpopularity aside I took this as no one knew fuck all

So yeah I’m kinda with you … I’ve read it doesn’t carry on throughout all the window

But I certainly couldn’t confirm

Eze will happen, not convinced Savio will (dependent on City getting Rodrygo)

Nah, savio will leave city now im sure. He needs considerable minutes this season to try make the Brazil squad and hes not guaranteed that at city.
Also, if he doesn't end up leaving now then hes likely to be frozen out abit by pep as he doesn't take well to players wanting away or not being 100% committed to the club.
The only way we don't manage it is if the fee is too too high which is possible but I think someone will pay it. (Hopefully not the goons if we sting them for eze).

Its looking quite good right now on both fronts, fingers crossed but can't rule anything out when it comes to players of this quality and other teams sniffing around.

We really need this though. It would hugely boost what this team is capable of this coming season and beyond and really sharpen up this blunt pencil of a squad. You could argue that these 2 signings could take us from languishing near midtable right up to the heels of the top 4. Its that much of a swing. You also have to factor in we have a young team with huge growth potential to further close that gap naturally over time.

What on earth would we do with Buonanotte if we bought both Savinho and Eze?

For that matter why on earth did we make Tel permanent if we were going to sign Eze and Savinho? Especially if we're going to sign a striker, DOUBLE especially if we don't have a destination for Richy.

I think we signed Tel because it was a deal we could do to sign a high potential forward. I have no issue with signing Tel, my issue was signing him and then relying on him to be a starter and to carry us in the PL and CL.

If we have Sivinho and Eze starting. Odobert and Tel are great backups to have.

But going into the season with two unproven kids would be disastrous.

I do genuinely think Tel has shown glimpses of very good potential, but he's really raw.

Nothing good ever comes to N17 from Palace.
How dare you…

Agree, these two signings could literally be the difference between mid table and back in the conversation for top 4.

They're that transformative imo.

And Eze, although different to Maddison, is a lot more physically robust and is suited better to the tougher away games imo.

Hotspur88 on SC re Savinho

Small update...

Been told this is almost there now. I'd been told a fee had basically been agreed so it's looking very likely 🤝🏽

Oh fucking hell, that sad little prick is back is he? The man who had ties to Conte but somehow still gets info on the most public deal of the year.

He is the most attention seeking saddo on there.

Obviously a pure guess. If it gets announced tomorrow he can claim ITK.

If it isn’t, he will delay until it’s done and make some excuses. If it falls through he will blame some random reason for his ITK being bullshit (like it always is). Fuck me.

I get the pessimism about if we can conclude the deals, but I just don't think the club can afford to fail here. I do think we will sign Savinho.

Eze one worries me more because of Woolwich gazumping us. I can just imagine they would love to do that.

Speaking of which, how weird is it that Woolwich and Arteta decided to prioritise signing Maudeke for 50 million? and then leaving Eze on the backburner because apparently they need to sell to buy.

Obviously it could all be bolllocks and this time next week Eze is at Woolwich, but if we do end up signing Eze, I wonder how much Woolwich actually wanted him anyway if they prioritised Madueke signing over him. Doesn't really make much sense and I see Woolwich fans are equally as confused.

Surely they should have signed Eze first, and then signed Madueke once they had sorted their outgoings. Only thing it could mean, is Arteta wanted Madueke more than Eze
Completely agree. So much of what makes the window frustrating for teams and fans is that sequence is everything. With the Axis of Greed teams having so much money to chase multiple players with huge offers the rest of the Premier League has had to wait for them to sort themselves out before the action for most teams can begin. We can possibly get Savinho but I don't see it without them getting Rodrygo. And Spurs certainly can't do business for Savinho or Rodrygo until that is cleared up. Woolrich really hasn't treated Eze well and he should take note of that in deciding where to go.

He's a liar that is happy to lie to Spurs fans.

Much like all of the 'itk' on that forum.

If we get eze and savinho superb. Bounotte, a LB, central defender and a striker thats a 10/10 window

If we manage to get both attacker i think it will be a cheapish cb, preferably left footed. I think we've been linked to that van hecke from Brighton. 2 years on contract and I think although right footed can play lcb well too.

Otherwise it could be Kim from bayern as a stopgap or a paratici special from seria a.

Then Frank is an idiot.

Ben Davies shouldn't be a very important player for Spurs in 2025, especially not at left back. I love the bloke and am totally cool with him staying put and being 5th choice CB + 3rd choice LB, but that's where it ends.

Udogie been a waste of money. He's the LB version of Bissouma, with less cuntiness. He can eff off back to Italy for all I care.

If he’d rather spend money elsewhere though?

Agree on it being a bit of a problem position. I’d go get Robertson from Liverpool for a year. Immense experience and consistent despite his age. Wouldn’t have to play every week. Probably being paid too much for us though.
