Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Do we honestly think we’ll really see any protests of note?

A smattering of Levy out chants, the odd banner, but those season tickets keep selling and people keep putting the money in. A few balloons on the half way line haven’t bothered him before.

Just overall a fairly passive fan base I feel.

Yes, of course he will. Just like Hitler, he has eyes everywhere. He hates being hated.
But he's too entrenched in his way of doing anything to ever change the tide.

No chance of the Eze or Savinho deals getting over the line today... Lange and Levy were spotted in Udine having Caviar and Champagne!

And why the hell not? The club should embrace games like this. How often have we earned the right to be in a game like this?

Guehi wants Liverpool now. Yeah cause they'd pay him good money, but mainly cause they're a serious operation that wins big things.

Show him we've learned from our mistakes, that we gonna be real serious from now on, that it's more rewarding bringing Spurs back to the top of the tree than keeping Liverpool there.
This would be a reasonable 'hail mary' strategy but what are we going to reply with when he asks "How are the Eze and Savinho deals progressing"

If we got those two and actually proved we were making moves to get back to the top, then I think players like this would be way more likely to see us as a serious proposition.

Oh come on, the Hitler comparisons are ridiculous

Hitler would have forced the MGW deal through, Levy is worse

With less than 3 weeks to go this window either goes down as one of the best ever and sets us up for a great season. Or one of the worst and we are woefully short.

For once in your small, bald life do the right thing gremlin.

Can you take the Hitler comments to the Hitler thread, please

No doubt celebrating this fantastic window they've served up so far.
Thomas Frank (+ his coaches), Kudus, Palhinha (without an obligation to buy), Takai, and our loan deals for squad players by mid-August isn’t terrible.

Maddison’s injury has forced our hand for a #10, and we definitely need 2 or 3 quality players to ensure we make it through to the knock-out rounds in the CL.

Edit: I think Takai is going to be a great signing for us.

And you think getting thumped by one of the best, most expensive clubs in the world is going to break open his wallet?

:levystare:

In truth, its Joe's wallet. And Joe won't even know we're playing in the match, much less care if we win or lose.

All of Spurs' issues stem from being owned by someone with little to no interest in football whatsoever. Levy is just the (well paid) bloke at the wheel.
Good comment about Joe’s lack of interest.

When he cared enough about a few of his employees (pilots and close staff) to want them to have a better life, instead of giving them an actual pay bonus, he gave them insider information tips to be used for their own investing. That’s what we’re dealing with from Joe. That’s why we’ve not matched the other Big 6 in ownership spending above revenue. Joe don’t care.

I'm full-blown cynic at this point and don't believe either Savinho or Eze are going to happen. It's much more freeing to just imagine nothing is going to happen then rely upon any glimmer of hope we're actually going to do something.

Absolutely.

Levy & his gang need to stop talking big, they gotta start acting big.

Fine if we can't sort all our issues this window, but there's no way we should be going into the new season without a new CB, LB and CF...those are non-negotiables for me.

Then between Jan & next summer, we address the goalie situation, CM, English players etc.
