Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Love the player but if thats true its abit too much, 69m pounds!
60m +5m add ons as mentioned above is the compromise.

City know were desperate ffs, this is what happens when you leave it so damn late in the window.

Can't think of any alternatives that have the potential of this guy. Akliouche looks a good player but hes a tad older, not as good all round and will still cost around 55m

We all know how important singing a quality 10 and an additional front man is for us this season, to give us any chance of competing for top 6 and the domestic cup comps.
We also know Daniel Levy's approach to signings. Lets see who blinks first. We haven't seemed to have learnt anything from the MGW debacle and I'm not sure Parrish and the City owners/Pep are the to be messed with either.

From what I've read the 2 transfers in question, Salvinho and Eze has come down to how much?
If so should we lose one or both, then its purely because Enic bottled it and wouldn't cough up an extra 10-15m to secure both.
£125m gets us both players, wages not a problem.

This small minded approach is something we have had to suffer for far to long. Prove me wrong Daniel, please!

Akliouche is a 10, Savinho isn't.

The whole Savinho thing is bizarre.

With less than 3 weeks to go this window either goes down as one of the best ever and sets us up for a great season. Or one of the worst and we are woefully short.

For once in your small, bald life do the right thing gremlin.
I'm sorry but no, it doesn't matter who signs from here on out, leaving it until the last few minutes of normal time to spring into action and pull it out of the bag does not make it a great performance.

Once again getting through the entire pre-season with key areas unaddressed is a farce, this last few weeks of the window should be for tying up loose ends in the squad, not finally getting off our arse and working on priority areas.

That's £69m.. I can see a deal happen for something like £58m + add-ons

Pretty much standard fare

Savinho’s agent will want a bigger fee to get a bigger commission

Sure he did well in Spain but last season didn’t he only score one PL goal?

These transfer fees are just getting beyond stupid. They don’t seem to be based in any form of reality within the wider European market. If he was playing for PSV or Porro or Frankfurt he’d be half that price.

And City only paid £30.8M for him from their sister club a year ago. 225% appreciation in value after a 1 goal season. What a joke!
That is a hell of a markup for a player not deemed good enough to be part of their plans this year

3 goals and 13 assists in 48 games means he's more than doubled in value?

If anything, it proves he's not the finished article by a long way.

Yer but I think we want both eze and savinho. Akilouche and eze lw could be the plan b.

We need a sonny replacement, im not buying the whole odobert exploding this season to provide what we need. Odobert will improve yes hes very talented but last season he could barely stay fit nevermind go from that to suddenly getting decent numbers.

Savinho is a future star if given the platform.

They've also reached a level now were 90% of players are just never going to "live up" to them.

Just look at most of the guys sold by Brighton to Chelsea or such. They don't really drop in performance, but the expectations are so much higher based on the fee paid.
