Re-Savinho. Lets stick to pounds. The agent mentioned euros. City want 60m and Spurs first offer was 45m.

Spurs are going to bid again but knowing levy it'll be closer to 50m and will include add-ons and some complex installment plan. I guess City will reject that too. I think he'll go for 55m but could take Levy another week to get there!
Levy plays Russian roulette but cause he's a stupid cunt he leaves 5 bullets in the chamber.

Yeah but as has been pointed out Anthony has been on fire at Betis but how did he do at United

We saw the same with LoCelso

Savinho is a talent but he has had one year in the PL where wasn't that impressive for one of the most attacking and top teams in the PL

40-50 mill and he would still be a risky but. His shooting is average, very one footed, he is not that quick. It's laughable he is considered a Son replacement when you consider Son's G/A output and genuine two footed ability

Fofana has shown he is not just reliant on his strongest left foot. Yep he isn't PL proven but many Belgians have come here and done well. I think he had the character and tenacity along with his ability to succeed in the PL

I mean Savinho is also very 2 footed. And tbh I don’t think he was unimpressive in his first year at City.

Fofana coming from France would still be a bigger gamble at this point. Hes also not a Brazil international, and Brazil is a HUGE market commercially. We just lost Son and everything he brings from the Korean market

Probably because they'd never watched him and knew of him as a hot prospect for Bayern. I watched him as one of my best buds is a Bayern fan and I wasn't too enthused.

Signing him after that loan was bad at the time, don't need hindsight for that.

And how many of our fans are regular Man City or Girona watchers that makes them such experts on Savinho?

The fact that our club signed Tel even after that loan makes me question even more why they are willing to go for someone like Savinho. The club has a very poor record in the transfer market , so much money is continually wasted

He's not even worth 60m let alone 76m FFS.
He's worth whatever the amount the two teams agree on. If they don't agree, he wasn't worth it to us.
His metrics from last season suggest he's a few goals away from being a megastar though.
He could flop.
We could double our money in a year or two.
Well Ornstein just said that Spurs are unwilling to pay the release clause so my paranoia was correct. Glad I didn't assume it would happen.

Savinho deal should get done tho
Maybe today they are. If no one else is bidding for him, then why rush in with the full amount?
I take it you've never bought a house or negotiated much outside of a pair of dodgy sunglasses from a lookie lookie man on holiday?

Not caught up on this thread so might be old news but apparently city want 67m and we offered 42m.

Huge difference tbh not sure levy is willing to bridge that gap.
If we pay that, we're essentially buying Rodrygo. Just for a different club.

If there's absolutely no chance he wants to join Spurs then fair enough but I'd rather us spend the money and smash this stupid wage bill strategy bollocks and bring in Rodrygo than Savinho.

If we can't get him, then we go Savinho. Just seems daft spending so much on an inferior player.

On Savinho, yes totally happy we in for him, very much the type of fast 1 on 1 dribbler winger who can cross well...

70m euro / £60m should be the max though, anymore seems like manc shitty taking a big ol' piss.... he's still v young, bit raw, needs to improve but that ceiling does seem very high, shooting needs alot of work/coaching help

80m is basically almost buying Rodrygo for manc shitty

To those who think hes not worth it, for whatever reason.....

Could you compile a list of players 21 or younger that are as talented as savinho, with the skillset he has, and the potential he has, also considering his standing in the game right now and his potential star status from a marketing perspective?

Il start the list.....

Yamal
Doue

Anyone? Its difficult right?
