Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I wonder if the Guehi Liverpool deal being in the balance has also played a part in Palace preparing to sell us Eze.

I'm not saying it's the only reason but it might mean they are a little bit more willing to deal and flex on price.

Guehi apparently has reservations about going to Liverpool and sitting on thier bench with the world cup next summer.

That removes a revenue stream for Palace, so means selling Eze becomes more important.

By the way, I have to say, I think Guehi would be making the right decision to stay at Palace. He can captain them and play every game this season, play at the world cup, and then have his pick of clubs next summer, fat signing on bonus, and probably still end up at Liverpool.

Why join them now?

Could change of Madrid come in for Konaté this summer. Although they have options so will probably wait to get him on a free next summer.

Unlike Upamecano, Konaté is really maturing into a fine defender

I think he's making up them numbers. Ornstein said yesterday that if Palace don't get close to the 68m then Eze will remain at Palace!

I'd be shocked if anything under 60m was accepted. We are almost talking Madueke money now, no way Woolwich wouldn't have gone for Eze instead if he was available for around 55m!

58m and 5-10m in bonuses

Sth like that

But if we are sending an official bid (reportedly) then usually we’ve been told what would be acceptable by intermediaries

Savinho if it happened, surely wouldn’t be completed until after the City game

Equally, we might get an indication of its likelihood, if he isn't in the squad, or if he is an unused sub.

City are overladen with attacking players and short of defenders.

With Ridri showing some frailty, you wonder if Guardiola needs to invest elsewhere for the benefit of the City team, and a Savinho sale might give them the necessary money to do that because of PSR.

You know what they say about Dogs and their owners looking alike over time
Is that really the expression? They start to look more alike over time?

This is your dog then. And it started out as a pitbull.
