Does amuse me when people say ''Liverpool/Real Madrid get their work done so quickly'', why can't we?

Well, yes, they are Liverpool and Real Madrid. Every player wants to play for them.

We are lower in the food chain so any very good player is going to play the field accordingly to see if a bigger side comes in for them.

Also, you only see ''quick'' deals based on what tweets you see. In reality, those deals have been in the works for months.

Take the Mbappe or Trent deal to Real, they actually took years to unfold.

Be patient. We don't dine at the top table, so our deals for the elite will take longer as players and agents consider their positions and try to optimise their moves/contracts/agent fees.

I really don't know if Woolwich are into Eze, it's obviously not a priority position for them.
There was a lot of noise from posters on here about how Eze will never come to Spurs, Woolwich want him, he's going to Woolwich etc.
Woolwich ownership isn't as prudent as Spurs, if a player is a priority for them, then they bid.
Honestly, I don't see that Woolwich will bid now, he'll either be at Spurs or Palace come the end of the month. £70m is a lot to bid for a player who isn't a guaranteed starter for a club.
Bang on.

If I'm Eze, in a World Cup year, I'm thinking game time.

Nwaneri just signed a new contract. Saka is there. Dowman is coming through who is going to be the best player in the world at some point. Odegaard is skipper. Havertz is teachers pet. He'll see a lot of the bench.

With us, he is focal point with Kudus and potentially Savinho.

Eze is a smart man, chess player. He knows how to play the game. Hence, taking his time to come to best option for himself.

Liverpool haven't signed Issak or Guehi yet either.

And yet clubs like Chelsea and City went from a similar status to the top of that food chain.

There are ways to make your own luck if you apply the finance and publicise that footballing ambition

You understand I'm labelling them average when compared to other premier league footballers right? Surely you're not thick enough to think I was comparing them to any tom dick and harry from the Sunday league or Monday kick about.

I never said you were, mate, but you didn't say that you said 'Average players are still Premier League level'

No footballer who plays in the Prem is an 'Average Player'
