Whatever way you want to dress it up Eze starting today is not a good sign especially if it was previously agreed that he wouldn't play. Something has changed and probably signals that the deal has slowed down. Although it sounds like we are still in the same position as last Tuesday with zero progress made. Basically Eze wants to come, spurs are preparing a bid and Palace want more money. Nothing has changed since Tuesday and seems like Woolwich are happy to sit this one out so far.
Surely that depends on the type of injury?
i think they have to pass a medical for the financials to go through. (i know nothing about football deals)

You can sign an injured player if you choose..... Its just risky if it's anything potentially serious.

They do, but what does the medical involve? If it's testing things like heart, lungs, has x-rays etc then a minor injury may not affect it.
I don't know what is fully entailed in these medicals, but they may not involve things like treadmill running, as an example, in order to pass them.

if he wasn't going to play and now is, it reeks of levy trying to move the goalposts after shit was agreed to which is reportedly a favored move of his. i think if he starts today the deal is 50-50 at best and probably worse than that to get done. i'm viewing all this through my enic shit tinted glasses but him starting today feels like, 'fuck you daniel he's playing for us.'

Nope. We still have no agreement with Palace. They want more money paid upfront then we are offering so that they can sign a replacement. No solution yet and Eze plays today.

You probably cannot insure an injured player though - and if he does not recover the cost of his replacement is all down to you, no insurance claim would be accepted
So it very high risk
again, i'm an idiot, but i'd guess there's insurance and other things baked into these huge deals that can't be done with an injured player who may not recover fully. the bean counters can't allow a £70 million deal with a dodgy hammy
