Whatever way you want to dress it up Eze starting today is not a good sign especially if it was previously agreed that he wouldn't play. Something has changed and probably signals that the deal has slowed down. Although it sounds like we are still in the same position as last Tuesday with zero progress made. Basically Eze wants to come, spurs are preparing a bid and Palace want more money. Nothing has changed since Tuesday and seems like Woolwich are happy to sit this one out so far.

I reckon on Eze, we won’t hear anything major over the weekend and all the quotes from the clubs will be about focusing on their respective games.

This place will be meltdown central on Sunday when Eze plays for Palace, but we’ll be amused when Don Pedro ’s Mrs punches him in the neck for flapping so much and causing a scene.

Monday will roll round and we’ll get some breaking news about fee agreed, and maybe by Wednesday Eze will be signed and sealed. This will of course be after another 725 tweets from Romano to grab engagement.

People will feel that’s it, and the Savinho deal will go quiet, and we will get at least one “it’s all off due to being too expensive” tweets (with attached meltdowns).

The City game will happen, and after that we’ll get Savinho over the line as our last deal (we’ll probably kick a few out on loan).

Ironically, once signed we’ll remember who we are, and so of course, he WILL actually be injured and out for a bit anyway.

Still feeling quite confident here.

i think they have to pass a medical for the financials to go through. (i know nothing about football deals)
They do, but what does the medical involve? If it's testing things like heart, lungs, has x-rays etc then a minor injury may not affect it.

I don't know what is fully entailed in these medicals, but they may not involve things like treadmill running, as an example, in order to pass them.

"If"

"It sounds like"

"Probably"

"Seems like"

if he wasn't going to play and now is, it reeks of levy trying to move the goalposts after shit was agreed to which is reportedly a favored move of his. i think if he starts today the deal is 50-50 at best and probably worse than that to get done. i'm viewing all this through my enic shit tinted glasses but him starting today feels like, 'fuck you daniel he's playing for us.'

you can't buy an injured player as there is no guarantee he recovers fully
Surely that depends on the type of injury?

It's just due dilligence.... Not some rule.

You can sign an injured player
if you choose..... Its just risky if it's anything potentially serious.

OK, I think we need to have a HUMOUR check-up on everyone...

*Chelsea players won't go out to deliberately injure Eze

I was JO-LEDLEY-KING!!

* Unless they dooooooo! 🤔😲

Exactly but everyone on here is really confident and I'm tying myself in knots so nothing to worry about :)

again, i'm an idiot, but i'd guess there's insurance and other things baked into these huge deals that can't be done with an injured player who may not recover fully. the bean counters can't allow a £70 million deal with a dodgy hammy
