Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I doubt Manchester City will let Savinho leave prior to the game against them this weekend, but that doesn't mean it won't happen. In fact, all the signs seem to suggest he is more nailed on than Eze. Training on his own, his manager's comments, his agents flying to London. There seems to be more pointers for him, right? Still, who knows lol
How do you know he is training in his own….by seeing one photo of him which proves nothing. Even if he is injured he might be doing rehab work on his own. To say he is training on his own because of that photo doing the rounds is nonsense.

Trix on SC regarding MGW…not at all surprised….

“Not sure where to put this because the MGW thread is locked so the Admin Rob Rob @Archibald&Crooks may want to move this to somewhere more appropriate as it's not current transfer ITK.......

I just wanted to clarify what happened with MGW as there are a lot of incorrect rumours etc still doing the rounds and a few weeks have passed and I think it's now safe to do so.

MGW leaked his release clause, not his agent, not Spurs and not Forrest(just for old times sake). Forest knew he was looking to move and concocted a plan to do a PSR bump with Man City and McAtee where City paid well over the odds for MGW and McAtee went the other way for a lot more than the eventually bought him for. As soon as it hit the news City dropped any interest they had which wasn't much but if they could get him cheap then it could have been an easy flip for profit if it didn't work out. So now how could City pay £80mil for him when the whole world knew the release clause was £60mil?

From what I was told and shared in the lead up it to it all hitting the fan, was that MGW leaked the release clause to the media so that couldn't happen. Marinakis and Forest found out about it and threatened to tie him up in court for years like what happened with Bosman and he would have been left not playing in a world cup year in the peak of his career. This left him little choice but to sign a new deal on much better terms to make it look like a win for Forest and more importantly Mr Marinakis. It all happened incredibly fast because he was left with little option after he had completely fucked himself over. Spurs knew nothing of all of this and were as shocked as anyone when the story broke that he had signed a new deal.”
Ha.

Yes, of course the only way MGW could get out of a move to Man City was to leak his release clause to the press (who didn't report on it until after the Spurs bid btw) in order for Spurs to step in like a white knight and save him, rather than simply reject a move there...

Sounds like the ravings of that mad lassie Aluko, talking about Rice, Pep and Arteta.

It's taken him almost a month to come up with this.
And people over there probably chucking tens and twenties at SC for it.

This guy didn’t know anything before it hit the media, when it was going on but now he’s got all the intricate details on not only us but what went on between Man City and Forest. What a cunt

Fuck me they aren’t even trying anymore.

That’s the biggest steaming pile of shit ever written.

City had bought Cherki and Reijnders long before MGW to Spurs ever came out as a release clause story,

Absolutely no doubt City would have been told MGW RC if they were genuinely interested but when you see how good Reijnders is for 45m, no wonder they ducked out of 60m for MGW.
I think the “new” 3 year deal signed by MGW speaks volumes as to how he feels and what he wants

Solomon will go, most likely to Leeds. He's had an injury and we are probably overvaluing him due to his successful loan. Most likely he'll go right at the end of the window, maybe another loan with option.
