No, we dismantled the nazi version of that company. It's a completely different company (which is why we bought thousands of beetles less than 20 years after the war).
It was started by the Nazis. It was a part of the Third Reich vision. They couldn't just disassemble one of the largest automotive producers in Germany. So they taken by the allies and British army took it over and gave it to the new German regime. They were a Nazi company until after the war...

Yeah, I'm fine with that. It became essentially British, then passed back to Germany.

But, let's drop it, it's definitely not the same as getting say, Gallas, and accepting 'at least he's our formerly-nazi-party fascist cunt now'.

Boss was well known for being a Nazi and building his private company off them. It's just weird, in my view.

I could write a lot but I ain't here to trigger.
Some people though won't want a Jewish player, which is probably holding his actual re-sale value down so low at the moment it's hardly worth selling.
Probably the logic IMO. Loans - easy. Selling, not so.
I know VW made the Beetle and it was Hitlers "idea"
But how in bed with the Nazi's were VW, really?
(genuine question, I don't know)
Hugo Boss was in the Nazi party before even Hitler took over. He continued to support Nazi beliefs after the war.
All that said, I quite like Boss clothing
VW was started by the Third Reich, so fairly involved I'd say haha they used labour from concentration camps to create cheap cars for the German people.
I doubt the reluctance would be down to his Jewishness per se but rather his ill-advised social media posts.

No, VW (the Nazi version) was effectively dismantled and subsumed by us at the end of the war. We used them to build our own military vehicles, then helped get the Germans back on their feet.
How the fuck did we get here???

The lines have been blurred somewhat!

I feel like this conversation is way off topic and I would like to direct everyone back to what this thread is really about....Levys bald head

Trix on SC regarding MGW…not at all surprised….

“Not sure where to put this because the MGW thread is locked so the Admin Rob Rob @Archibald&Crooks may want to move this to somewhere more appropriate as it's not current transfer ITK.......

I just wanted to clarify what happened with MGW as there are a lot of incorrect rumours etc still doing the rounds and a few weeks have passed and I think it's now safe to do so.

MGW leaked his release clause, not his agent, not Spurs and not Forrest(just for old times sake). Forest knew he was looking to move and concocted a plan to do a PSR bump with Man City and McAtee where City paid well over the odds for MGW and McAtee went the other way for a lot more than the eventually bought him for. As soon as it hit the news City dropped any interest they had which wasn't much but if they could get him cheap then it could have been an easy flip for profit if it didn't work out. So now how could City pay £80mil for him when the whole world knew the release clause was £60mil?

From what I was told and shared in the lead up it to it all hitting the fan, was that MGW leaked the release clause to the media so that couldn't happen. Marinakis and Forest found out about it and threatened to tie him up in court for years like what happened with Bosman and he would have been left not playing in a world cup year in the peak of his career. This left him little choice but to sign a new deal on much better terms to make it look like a win for Forest and more importantly Mr Marinakis. It all happened incredibly fast because he was left with little option after he had completely fucked himself over. Spurs knew nothing of all of this and were as shocked as anyone when the story broke that he had signed a new deal.”
That muppet is talking utter trash.

I'm the only one who knows was truly happened.

MGW was sleeping- or so he thought - and Morpheus appeared before him. He told him to follow the white rabbit and bam, the next morning at training he found out it was Chris Wood's childhood nickname.

The lad's also a big Star Trek fan and is learning Klingon, and he discovered that Mister Marinakis means "health, wealth & happiness" in that ET language.

The night before he made his mind up, he also got a called from Thomas Tuchel guaranteeing him the starting No 10 spot with England if he stayed at Forest. Bit weird, though, as TT kept saying he was George Weah's cousin and that he once played for Southampton...sorry, that he played for Southampton once.

Last but not least, MGW had to see a shrink for years when he was a kid after his mum forced him to learn the choreography of "In the Navy" by heart. Since then he's always hated any association with the colour.

That, ladies & gents, is why MGW stayed at Forest.

One of my Sauces just took this picture outside Chick-King on the highroad, its a done deal people, no need to Panic!!!!!

Looks like the story has wings.

Erm. Don't want to be all 'awks' like, but didn't they design the uniforms for the nazi party? Or at least made their fortune making all those SS uniforms.

That's a very strange partnership. I wouldn't say completely tone-deaf, but it's definitely going to need some auto-tune.
Blimey. Sadly, you're absolutely right :(
The Wiki history of Hugo Boss does not make good reading at all. In fact, the more you read, the worse it gets. Levy and his acolytes clearly didn't do their due diligence.

I really hope the word BOSS doesn't appear on our kit.
