No I'm not saying we were on a level footing when enic came in. But they have moved the clu forward to a point and stopped. I don't think anything has really changed since redknapp first got us into the champions league...
We still are behind the other top 6 clubs on wages, transfer fees paid and received pretty much every season..and that's why every season we are behind them. We had a bigger turnover than chelsea last year and only fractionally behind the scouse and Woolwich...if we played in the same sandpit as Woolwich and chelsea we would at least have a chance.
I also have to admit that since we got into the champions league with redknapp and didn't go for it, when back then being in the champions league really did attract the bigger players, now not so much. That was when I knew levy was a joke and I have not trusted him ever since he signed ryan Nelson and Louis saha.. but I respect your view and opinion too, you make some good points, and have actually made me think twice.....let's hope your right and I'm wrong and we can all look forward to an exciting season...

Yeah I know it's a toughie.

There's other Nicos out there, though...Savinho ain't one (yet).

Don't get me wrong, Eze is a fine fine player and I like him a great deal, also as he sounds like a well-educated, respectful, humble kid. And God knows I wanna sign him to play 10 or LW for us. But he ain't elite the way a Nico is, so we need both, especially as our CF options aren't elite either.

Yeah, Nico is clearly the best option out there, but it's not possible.

Eze is quality, but shouldn't factor into any winger move. It has to be both.

Next summer the ST issue will need addressing for sure.

Still feeling positive about savinho! I think we want him big time as our main attraction at spurs.
I don't really care on the price, 60m, or 70m this guy will be box seat in our lineup and we will have everything required to go into every pl game feeling we can win home or away.

He would be the player with the highest potential and ceiling in our attack bar none and we will be impossible to stop with kudus,eze,savinho spread across the frontline.

The Bentley maybe, but on this occasion I think this lads ceiling is higher so worth paying imo.
We wont of course because tbe club won't take that risk.
