Far from unusual for these deals to drag on for a bit after the stated interest, Kudus was a player West Ham felt they could sell before replacing so got done fast but its v clear Palace will try to get a deal agreed in principle for El Khannous then we likely see a deal agreed for Eze in due course. IDK if the stated RC for El Khannous of around £21m has expired or what because I read about CP trying to negotiate a deal around the £30m figure with add-ons, if that's the case it might well take til Friday earliest til they can thrash something out with Leicester, though having just been relegated they should be willing sellers. Could be moving the goalposts by a few million in the Eze deal if Leicester are putting the squeeze on CP as well.

Just a hunch but its dragged on a long time. The whole world knows about it now. If its dragging on I just think its tentative for a reason. It wouldnt surprise me if deal fell through or was hijacked. But its just a hunch on my part.

Chavs might do it for a laugh but he doesn't fit their transfer MO, I think Arse and Citeh are tapped out pending outgoings which doesn't seem to be happening atm now Savinho deal looks dead and by all accounts Pep would probably go for Rodrygo or Akliouche, I don't think Arse have the funds to do Eze after a sizeable net spend so far this summer with no real outgoings to balance it, their net spend under Arteta has been massive so wouldn't surprise me if they are right at their PSR ceiling, remember they had to nickel-and-dime the agent fees and wages down to get the Gyokeres deal done and seemed to prefer and have a clear run at Sesko before they decided the finances were wrong on the deal. I don't see a world outside them shifting 3-4 players in the next 3-4 days they can buy Eze.

Hope youre right. But its tottenham. Anything can happen with us and football. Must have contingencies in place though. Will get to a point surely if the fart arseing around carries on, we move onto other targets and behave like a top club.
