Pep has enough power to say he doesn't fancy Savinho and won't be including him much, which will mean they have an unhappy player on their hands who isn't getting the games he needs to win a place in the WC squad.

Another aspect of the savinho deal is the CL squad. He is surely very very close to the edge on making the squad for the CL with all the other options they have. All the new players will presumably make it and they have quite injury prone defenders so id have though pep needs to makesure he had adequate bodies there.

Just need that extra leap of ambition and intent to take us over.
Thing is, if Bladcunt did something like that -- and then sustained and replenished the squad with 3 proper quality players every window -- he'd end up making more money in the long run.
It's all mental with him.
Just has some weird aversion to being top tier.

Absolute superstars will not join us. And even if we spent £140m on a superstar that actually wanted to join us, who would be his backup?
