If you make money on a player I think they inherently cannot be a flop tbh. Even accounting for wages they will profit overall from having Madueke and Jackson at the club who simultaneously added value to the club intrinsically by helping them improve from 12th the season prior to 6th and then 4th. Kevin Wimmer wasn't good enough for Spurs but improved the squad while he was at the club and left for over quadruple what we paid for him, I don't think back about what a flop he was, I specifically remember an otherwise very forgettable player because it was the last time I can remember us actually doing the kind of smart business all elite clubs do on the side to help finance their big money moves.
I guess we're not getting eze on the cheap and palace are digging in for a good deal.
