Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I hope that is true, abd I hope whoever we might be looking at is secured quietly abd definitively.

It's possible we can find a player who actually wants to play for this great club, but that's fir us to know

Savinho seems keen, with no other parties interested. Let's get that sorted, and then for Rogers, who will be better than both Eze and Gibbs-White.

Levy, you need to find a way.

Rogers is fantastic but he would be £70-80m.

This is partly why I get agitated when people fuss over whether top quality player are 'worth' the reported fee's. Oh hes not 'worth that much', 'its too much' or thats 'risky'.

Its all nonsense. A top quality player is a top quality player, they cost money, you pay the price, you then get them signed to play.

I dont give a toss what a top quality player costs, or the numbers involved, just sign some for God's sake. Because otherwise the alternative is fuck all or dross.

Right then, time to break out the emergency list

All I am grasping onto is Eze realising at The Lane he will be one of the top boys, if not the top boy, take the iconic 7 shirt and play far more football with us than he will at Woolwich with a world cup around the corner.

Comfortably our worst ever transfer window, and given our history that is entirely unforgivable. To finish 17th, lose our main number 10 and be 12 days from the end of the window having signed two first team players (one on loan), whilst all the other serious premier league clubs strengthened beyond belief? Staggeringly inept. Oh and our main target signed a new contract after a baffling sequence of events, and our second went to our rivals following some traditional dithering. Anyone now will be our 3rd target, although given where we are in the window our 3rd and 4th targets have likely moved or are reluctant to move. So realistically 5th,6th, or even 16th target. Supporting this club under Levy provides so many days of woe the stress almost certainly does not justify the journey. Absolutely spent

People seem to be forgetting this. All other assumed incompetencies aside, if Havertz didn't get injured then this wouldn't have happened. That bit is just very bad luck for us. :(
It’s not bad luck, it’s incompetence.

We were capable of getting him earlier in the window. We were clearly interested in a number 10 before Maddisons injury hence the MGW bid.

Even if it was Maddison’s injury that triggered the bids for Eze that happened 3 weeks ago, we could have went for him then instead of leaving the squad insanely short for the start of the season?
