Gotta say, I’m normally one of the most positive posters on here. But our handling of this was absolutely shameful.

Getting a player of this quality in - esp after Madders injury - was critical.

One game into the season and I’m completely pessimistic despite the squad showing early promise despite being light.

Unbelievably frustrating.

This is partly why I get agitated when people fuss over whether top quality player are 'worth' the reported fee's. Oh hes not 'worth that much', 'its too much' or thats 'risky'.

Its all nonsense. A top quality player is a top quality player, they cost money, you pay the price, you then get them signed to play.

I dont give a toss what a top quality player costs, or the numbers involved, just sign some for God's sake. Because otherwise the alternative is fuck all
