You know how when we've been really starved for transfers people have tried so hard on here to convince themselves in the past of the merits of the player, like when we got Danjuma who couldn't buy a game at Villarreal gazumping a relegation threatened Everton team in the process, even then, a few people were quite up on the deal, bringing up his scoring record for Villarreal, championing the merits of loan to buy etc.

If we sign Dibling for £35m after this utter fucking fiasco I don't think a single person will be able to justify it based on any shred of credible evidence. Could be the most negative player thread in history.

I just think he would have joined us if he had really wanted to - he didn't, which is possibly that he is an Woolwich or that he sees them as a more attractive option at the present time.

Now this is something I can get on board with.

The club don't help themselves in transfer windows with some of the stuff they put out there.

Had to give Son a fitting send off but announcing new sponsors while fans are demanding players is not a good look.

Parish got the release clause money in the end. I don't know if we got bad reporting or if Parish kept moving the goalposts, because all the talk last week was that the deal would be done for 55m.

I wish we just payed the release clause but Woolwich definitely kneejerked and overpaid based off their initial valuations. You'd wonder if much thought went into it given they chose madueke earlier in the window before eze. I'd love if they got it wrong and have no money to spend now for the foreseeable windows.

But ultimately they are signing players we can't get. Zubemendi, Eze and Gyokores would have been dream signings for us. We just never get them!

In terms of Tyler Dibbing and Bilal El Khanouss if they come in, fine once it's in addition to Savinho and Akliouche, as in "back up 10" fine.
