Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We should just go and get who we can get at this stage. The board fucked the window yet again and there's only around 10 days left in the window. At the end of the day the squad is ridiculously short and needs some fucking kind of reinforcements, even if they're just bodies for rotation. If that's Dibling and El-Khanouss then just go and fucking get them. Don't waste anymore time pretending that your capable of deals on big players like Savinho, Rogers, Rodrygo or whoever the fuck else might pop up. Let's face the reality that we finished 17th last season because we had a shit squad and that needs some (any!) kind of improvment.

Aghhhsstt

I am so pissed off! At the same time I want to so strongly disagree AND agree with you.

From one side - fucksake, just signing a despearate option ("sign whoever we can get at this stage") is very shit idea. In long run it means we will overpay for not-good-enough players who will become the deadwood we fail to move on in the future. So in long term, it sets club progress back.
From the other side - you are correct, we are very much short of needed level and we do need additions. Strategically thinking, I would say that some specific loan deals could do the trick here. That would give us time (that, make no mistake, we will totally waste under this board!) to identify correct long-term targets for the future.

What we have to do is to imagine that we never were interested in Eze, he was nowhere on our radar. In that scenario and we bid £50million for Akliouche then we would probably be pretty pleased. Thats how we must now look at it.
Good player but does not make us any better... if we drop 50m on him then the world has clearly gone mad. He is a Chadli type player at best.

Levy will have the agents, parish and forest in credit now to retaliate in future. Mark my words.
He’s not got one over on anyone for 10 or 15 years. Even the PSR deals for Richy or Brennan, he paid top dollar for middling players.

The days when he used to pull down the pants of the Sunderland or Pompey chairman selling them a job lot of crap are long gone. He’s old, the PL has moved on.

One of the worst things about Levy now is that its increasingly obvious all the other clubs hate him. I bet they double hate him after he paraded himself around with Neville talking about how great he is. He's spent years being a dick to them on every negotiation and they're probably sick of the sight of him. They'll do deals if they have no choice but if there is an alternative/way to fuck him over they are for it.

'kinnel. no need to add to what's already been said but i will say i will never look at any anonymous bullshit from these rumor mongers ever again. named quotes from journalists with reputations to protect or fuck the fuck off you cancerous twats. it's been going this direction for years but this window has been the peak of the trash transfer rumors. can't believe i got sucked into this pathetic routine. we all know better.

oh yeah fuck you eze. i hope you break your fucking leg today.

That's not a bad shout, the player obviously wouldn't want to come here now and tie himself down to SPurs for 5 years, but 12 months pre-World Cup? Get him in, let him see the surroundings, get him building a bit of affinity to the badge, surround him with nobody to get the ball to him, hammer his self esteem into the ground, make him feel like no-one else would touch him with a bargepole by next summer.

He'll be paying us to sign him for next season!

:levywhoa:

I’m sure something will get done. It needs to.

However, we were ONE spot from relegation last year, and it was clear as day what we were missing. Sure, we had our pants pulled down….TWICE (or maybe more).
I’m angrier that we were one spot away from relegation. We win a trophy in spite of that, and there are good feelings at the club.
EVERYONE knows we need to beef up our squad going into a Champions League campaign.

Again, our board has been negligent with getting players in. Yeah, Madders’ injury was a killer. But the issues are glaring. Kudus is a wonderful signing, but without the other pieces around, it won’t help.

We are way too thin right now. Another injury to an attacking player and we’re in a world of hurt. Still need two offensive minded players before things done
