He's just a massive liability, a total drag on the club. Its his reputation, pissing off clubs for 25 years and his ego trying to squeeze every penny out of every deal and taking weeks over it. I think it was Clive Allen who said he enjoys it, there is no other reason behind all this, its all ego.

Hahahaahahahahahahaha "not a bad shout".That's not a bad shout, the player obviously wouldn't want to come here now and tie himself down to SPurs for 5 years, but 12 months pre-World Cup? Get him in, let him see the surroundings, get him building a bit of affinity to the badge, surround him with nobody to get the ball to him, hammer his self esteem into the ground, make him feel like no-one else would touch him with a bargepole by next summer.
