Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Agreed, and pay over the odds (a bit) if necessary. It's necessary.
Already seen we're 'offering' €80m to City for Savinho... Or revisiting, or are keeping eyes on, or progressively advancing backwards... Or whatever the fucking word of the week is!!!!

What did Palace do wrong? They don’t care if they take money from us or Woolwich. They kept the Woolwich talks confidential, so odds on all the leaking was from us.
South London Mafia innit?

I fully expect Ian Wright to be dragged in kicking & screaming to SSN at some point to offer his unbiased, measured 'thoughts' on the debacle!

Kudus doesn’t count, getting one over on West Ham is like beating up the blind kid.
I'd STILL favour the BLIND KID to lay one on Levy while he was busy counting his pocket money!

I hate to be that guy, but winning cups doesn't get you players, look at the gooners and united , when did they last win a Cup? We all want to win cups, however paying higher wages gets you players, and not dicking around trying to save a few bonb on the transfer fee gets you players, we always get told how hard deals are, yes they are hard when you want to save money , pay the going rate and decent wages and its actually quite easy.....

It's a balance, plus being evidently on the right trajectory. A good season this time round will help.

United are simply United. They sell themselves in many respects.

We need to rethink but for now we need 2 or 3 players of quality, however difficult to obtain.

Solomon is a classic example of the complete inertia at the club. Off the back of an excellent loan to a promoted championship club, one of their best players and yet here we are, 11 days to go and still here. I know the injury didnt help but its nothing serious. He cost us nothing, we could easily flip him but even that simple thing is beyond us.
Yea he’s the one that’s got me scratching my head, same with Bissouma to some extent. Gil I’ve already written off as a player that we’ll just loan out to Spanish clubs until his contract expires.

Simon Jordan to the rescue.

How are we going to have the player if at no point the player agreed to come to us?? Woolwich come in and deals done despite them offering what we did.
We definitely got played but our management should have the nous to see through the con. They didn’t
No.

"It nevertheless looked so remote by Saturday that Eze himself had accepted Woolwich wasn’t going to happen. He even spoke to Parish to try and get his move sorted, as Levy and the Palace chairman met on Monday morning. Eze was genuinely excited about joining Tottenham. It just wasn’t the one he really wanted. His dream was a move to Woolwich."

He had a preference, which is normal (especialy as he was a childhood fan and had been at Hale End), but he would have come and we could have gotten it done and dusted way before scum came back in after Havertz crocked.

That article is smoke and slight of hand.

I might have to dissected it for people later to show what it's doing.

It's nonsense.

Journo trying to cook it up as clandestine drama for clicks.

Muh subplot.

Chelsea can get £30m for Renato Veiga (who???) from one of the perma-skint Spanish clubs, and yet we can't get that combined for Soloman, Bissouma, and Gil...

There's either something wrong with the rest of the footballing world, or there's something wrong with us.

Hilarious.

I actually like Dibling as a prospect for what it’s worth and think he could become a top player.

But being serious, he needs to turn us down. The pressure and toxicity from the fans will be immense. He’s nowhere near ready to contribute as a real player this season in big CL matches, and it’s unfair for us to expect that.

I think only a really good signing dulls this farce down a bit.
The club has been done twice this window and that can't continue.
We have all these people in top positions of recruitment and yet, we just can’t get it right.
