Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

A deal agreed by close of play tomorrow, for someone with objective quality, and then a likelihood of 1/2 more to come would be good.

I have put a call into the water guard to scour the Thames for a few of the posters on here, who have gone overboard (excuse any double entendre)

If we don't sign players between now and the close of the window, make way.

I agree. Unfortunately, its not an environment where ethics count for much. It's nothing Levy wouldn't have done to another owner if he had the chance so Spurs can hardly complain about Parrish's behavior. The Premier League is a club where Levy has burned a lot of bridges.

The way I and many others operate in business for what is very similar to a tender is to ask a few firms to quote and if quality/price etc come back similarly you run them in parallel until final stages - but don't string people along - I've dome that on small jobs as well s £100m or so jobs..

I would suggest that Eze/Palace had decided to go with Woolwich almost certainly since last weekend or quite possibly a week before - so 'stringing' Spurs along by not telling them. That as I say is where business ethics come into play

I'd hope that Spurs had done a lot of preparation work on a few other alternative forwards - but the market is 'thin' for quality forwards and other clubs will also be talking to them. So we'll have to see

We need to make move for Damsgaard and Wissa, they are both gettable, PL proven and they know Frank. Not special players but they would be a huge help for us.

For £80-90m we could get both of them, Savinho just isn’t going to happen.

No.

"It nevertheless looked so remote by Saturday that Eze himself had accepted Woolwich wasn’t going to happen. He even spoke to Parish to try and get his move sorted, as Levy and the Palace chairman met on Monday morning. Eze was genuinely excited about joining Tottenham. It just wasn’t the one he really wanted. His dream was a move to Woolwich."

He had a preference, which is normal (especialy as he was a childhood fan and had been at Hale End), but he would have come and we could have gotten it done and dusted way before scum came back in after Havertz crocked.

That article is smoke and slight of hand.

I might have to dissected it for people later to show what it's doing.

It's nonsense.

Journo trying to cook it up as clandestine drama for clicks.

Muh subplot.

Yeah the sleight of hand where Woolwich had the deal accepted since August 10th.
So I’m now to believe that Eze’s agent either wasn’t aware or kept it secret from him. Or was happy to string us along as far they could?
All of a sudden Palace don’t need a replacement, Him having to play isn’t a prerequisite to the deal being completed which was for us.
