We need to make move for Damsgaard and Wissa, they are both gettable, PL proven and they know Frank. Not special players but they would be a huge help for us.

For £80-90m we could get both of them, Savinho just isn’t going to happen.
Do you think they are?

Brentford seem in real peril of going down to me having had their stability seriously rocked with the loss of key staff and players, so I think it would be far from simple to prise further players away from them.

No we don't.

There's no point taking the manager from Brentford, and then just signing from Brentford the players that he already coached to their absolute peak, we'd just be Brentford in a different kit.

You take the manager who's preformed well at a club like that with the intention of giving him players with a higher ceiling than the ones he used to work with.

If we go down that route we might as well just give up.

I would disagree with you about Kudus and Palhinha, both of whom have looked good in playing time so far. Both improve Spurs squad - I doubt if too many fans would agree with you

I didn't think that Tel had shown enough on loan to be a purchase at the level we needed him to be - imo Odobert has more experience (one season in top French league and one in PL with Burnley), and although frustratingly injured most of last season looks a better player than Tel. So whilst good forwards are neither plentiful nor cheap, so Tel being immediately available with 'great potential' had attractions, I'd have passed and looked for a better player (even if a top player not available directly after season ended).

IMO the Eze deal fell apart through lack of integrity on the part of the player and/or Palace - by all accounts Eze had agreed terms with Spurs and it was Palace delaying saying they wanted him to play tonight plus wanted to haggle over small items in contract as a delaying tactic. So all Woolwich did was to come in and agree to take similar terms to Spurs (or minimal change) in last few days whilst Palace/Eze stringing Spurs along saying 'deal still on, but it nedds to be after Thursday's match ......

That is unethical behaviour by business standards. Not criminal.
I didn't say Kudus and Palhinha were bad buys, I said they don't count because no other clubs were willing to take the risk on 55 million after the poor season he had. He is phenomenal play and I'm glad we snapped him up. Well done to the scouting team and Frank if he was involved.

Palhinha, probably because of his age, wasn't sort after by any of our top 6 clubs. Good work again by Frank and the scouts for seeing the opportunity.

I'm speaking of targets that we were supposedly linked with, Eze, Savinho, Wissa, Leao, Simons, MGW........there are numerous others.

We all know how Levy works. He tries to penny pinch. He'll rather buy a "Rising youngster" (both heavily debatable) such as Johnson and Tel, than pay for an ageing 27 old EPL ready Player such as Eze. Why? Because he always wants return on investment. People were raving about Bryan Gil, the next Messi, when we hadn't replaced Erikson until Madison was bought.

Levy Out. The man only worries about Real Estate and Profits. No excuses. He is a leach that is stealing from the THFC fans.

It just all feels so unnecessary and wrong. Win a trophy, get CL qualification, watch as others improve their squads measurably, and then fuck up our own business. Like 2019 this really is a summer to have the balls to have a bigger vision.

Agree - I wouldn’t be against bringing back Timo too, what’s Sissoko up to nowadays? Could Frank get Skippy playing as a 6? Can he take a long throw?

should defo take dibling if we can, yes we need more, but this one could turn into something very special.
He might but we saw real flashes from Tel at Bayern and look what we are seeing from him. Getting Dibling stinks of mid table shit. Hate it. Hate the thought of us spending £40 million plus on a kid who’s not got great output in terms of goals or assists. We’ve spent £110 million on Gray,Tel and Odobert and got fuck all in return so far.
