Transfers The Summer Transfer Edging Thread 2025

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

kudus and palhinha have not improved our first 11 massively... palhinha didn't even make the first 11 on Saturday.

Is your mission to look stupid or what :D ?

He was starter against PSG. And will be against City as well, guaranteed.
As a defensive minded central midfielder of course he might not play fucking Burnley at home? Are you really that simple in the head :D ?

He is useful player that will get loads of minutes but often will not play against small teams.

Why is there no news of an offer today?

Who was target #3 at 10 and why have we not bid 60m?
Why have we not gone back to City with an improved Savinho bid?

That is how a proper club would react to this embarrassment. We're so limp.
That's not how it works. You need to monitor the player first, then spend at least 3 days preparing the bid and only then you start to move through the various advancing stages.

How many world class players do we have to show for that €878m that’s been spent in the last 5 years? Newcastle have more quality than us and they’ve spent 200m less.
Not sure about what is defined as world class, but top level talent = romero, VDV, Porro, Kulu, madission, Bentancur.

Add to that Udogie, Gray, Bergvall, Kudus, Richarlison, Johnson.

Spurs have an excellent squad, but they don't have that superstar player. Salah, Kane, DeBryne, Messi, Bale, Ronaldo etc...

But...one may argue, its better to build a squad of players than build around a single star. Spurs had the world's best striker, and won nothing.

Here we go, dressing Dibling up as prime steak when he is nothing of the sort yet.

I watched him last season, including at our place and he did nothing - Brennan Johnson who gets pelters on here, did far more than him and Bergvall looked much better. The Southampton player that stood out was Fernandes.

Dibling might go on to be a top player, but are we starting Champions league games with him? Not a fucking chance, we need the ready made article now

Levy’s football strategy of high fees and low wages is absolute suicide. We have spent so much money on mediocre players, we’d have been better off signing half the number of players and spending double on the wages. We’d have got far more quality.

He doesn’t want to pay the wages as they’re a strict liability, driving up our borrowing rates.

We genuinely are a property company with a side hustle in sports.

News is half the problem. I'd much rather we kept everything quiet, got deals done, then announced them. The humiliation only exists because journos and ITKs keep tweeting about potential transfers every 5 minutes, and idiots on here keep lapping it up. I don't want news of an offer today, I want everything and everyone to shut the fuck up re: 'news' until we have someone who has actually signed a contract - that at least reduces the chances of someone else coming in and stealing the player from under our noses.

The problem with missing out on Eze was giving Woolwich the chance to re-enter the bidding

They’ve paid more and they were Eze’s first choice so with that considered there’s no obvious blame

The problem lies with the amount of time after the MGW debacle. It should have been all wrapped up before havertz injury and their renewed interest

We just dither and bumble about. Nothing is done with any decisive intent

I have no problems with dibling the player and I’m sure hell be great in a couple of years, I’d welcome him as one of our own immediately

But that doesn’t help us NOW does it

We’ve skimped on roses and bought a seed yet again
